1 Star Kayking Course - Day 2
So off we headed off to the dirty water again for our second day of kayaking. Aiyo, drama with the kayaks again. Felt so pathetic. -_- Everyone headed off in their single kayaks so fast, so i had to pair up with someone else. Aiyo i dare not pair up with the capsize fella. He's damm funny. Later i'll explain. And you'll see why i'm lucky not to have him. Haha OOPS. Anyway i paired up with this super zai guy. Wah heng. Haha. But he seems to have a lot of breath. Constantly counting "left, right, left, right, left, right", like not tired. A bit noisy haha but he's fun. At least he entertained me. It was have been worse if my partner is super quiet, then wah awkwardness!!
We all learnt more technical skills. Goodness, so tiring. I really dislike the side movement --> The draw stroke, and the classical draw etc. YUCKS. Couldn't get it for so long. But of course, yours truly got it at the last moment, and out of pure excitement, yelled that "i moved!!" and embarrassed myself. again.
Day 2 was more of learning how to rescue people. It was super crappy. I really hated the rescue thing. I know the rest did too, because they were so tired, poor people. But i hated it for a different reason.
1) i didn't learn anything
2) i felt super pathetic, like a loner. zzzz
Cause we had to practice the rescue stunt in groups of three. There were ten of us, so guess who was the last one? Sitting at some random corner of the beach, playing with litter in the water. -.- Usually when Eileen and Jz are out in the water, i watch them and learn. But this time, they were so far out in the river i couldn't even see what they were doing. So die lor. Sit at some corner and sleep. zzz when everyone came back, they were all too tired to redo the rescue thing with me. So basically i learnt how to be a VICTIM only, not how to rescue use. And bear in mind that being the victim requires me to CAPSIZE. Again. Not something that i like to do. I mean i like dipping in the water, dirty water and all, but i don't like somersaulting in it. Pah. Eileen was part of my rescue team by the way. See? A good girlfriend (her) always rescues her boyfriend (me) ! Okay jz "kind of" recused me too, since she was in the doubles with eileen. She was the one who held all the paddles. The other guy who rescued me was the fella who constantly capsizes. Zzz i also scared. haha he was with another fella in the doubles, but this one didn't help. Just eye power me only. Haha technically cannot help much, too far behind.
Anyway, we did a few nonsensical stuff. Such as playing water polo with one guy's crocs slippers, and rafting up for all of us to stand up together. Zzz we never managed to get the whole team to stand up. Cause people kept capsizing all the time. I was one of the few. I was holding on to jz's hand, when i lost my balance and fell into the water. I THOUGHT i fell into the water, but eileen and jz said i JUMPED in. I guess i must have been too panicky and reflex jumped in. Eileen was funny. Haha she was wobbling, and kept standing up, and squatting down. The fella who always capsizes for no rhyme of reason was beside her in a doubles kayak, with another guy. Don't know what happened, one moment eileen was standing up with them beside her, the next moment eileen was squatting and they capsized. Ahahahaha shoot. You really wonder how they capsize. And the fella's partner said "wo shi wu gu de!!" ahahahaha damm funny. Now what did i tell you? Suay to partner the capsize king right? Hahahha not to be mean la, but he really does capsizes every few moments. Don't know how he managed to capsize also.
Oh yeah, we rafted up to change kayaks too, meaning eileen and jz, who were in the doubles, changed to single kayaks. Eileen took some guy's kayak, and jz took mine. While exchanging with jz, i was so scared i would capsize, i just plonk plonk into her hole, in the process hitting both my knees against the edge. WAH PAING. now blue black.
So after that, we hung around in the water, stagnant. Eileen and me were bored, and we were simply drifting near the shore. That silly woman, called me. So i turned around the talk to her, and found myself drinking kallang's water. SHE SPLASHED ME!!! Grrrr... gotta learn how to do that. Silly brown hair guy was laughing at me. And he's the one who's always laughing at me la! I always close my eyes when i collide with people. First day i closed both eyes, second day i close one. So he told me "wah good improvement. Now close one eye only". Zzzz -_________- But he's one of the few who entertained me la. Otherwise i will be super bored.
Ahh nearly forgot. Our instructor made the whole team mass capsize, and think of ways to rescue ourselves. Wah piang. Haha, capsize, AGAIN!!! ROAR! Somersaulted, drank water again. What else is new? I was the first girl to be rescued. It was actually jz's kayak, but jz and eileen didn't want to climb up la. Wah sigh. So i malued myself again by attempting to assist in the rescue, but to no avail. In fact, i was quite useless -.- The only thing i was good for was to help carry paddles. Zzzz...
Next was the water polo game. HELLO PEOPLE! Haha eileen and my team WON!! Wahahaha hee! Jz was in the other team. Show me an "L" jz! Hahahhaa okay okay won't be so mean. We have tactics okay. Hahaha fun. =) But wah, chiong like mad. They anyhow bang the kayak here and there. Super jia lact.
I guess that was about it for that day. At the end of the whole thing, i played with the dog there. Super sweetie pie. It's a girl =) Sigh... We used the hose to bathe ourselves. We couldn't tahan the showers there, so we walked to the park to shower instead. Wah super sickening. Some random indian worker came into the LADIES' TOILET and stared at me la. While i was wearing my swimming costume alone!! -cries- feel so violated. He saw my bare legs and arms and all. sniff. Sigh, oh well. Whatever. Hope he goes blind one day.Well we changed and had dinner at geylang. Was starving by then. Walked past don't know how many lorongs to eat nice food, which in the end was SUPER spicy. Lucky the soya bean and you tiao made up for it. =)
If you want to eat nice bean curd and soya bean, go to geylang lorang 27A. It's called Yong He something something. It's a whole coffee shop. VERY NICE... =)
Yep we've come to the end of it all! We're gonna get our 1 star certificate soon! Can't wait! Maybe, just maybe, we'll go for the 2 star kayaking course as well! Wahahhaa, but as for the 4 and 5 star one, erm overseas, er... maybe not. Er.. haha!!
I think this course was worth it la, in terms of the certificate, and we DID learn stuff. More than we ever could in any camp. Only thing was that i felt a bit pathetic sometimes, but no matter. I enjoyed the single kayak =) Sigh happy. FULFILLED!
Congrats to Eileen, Jia Zhen, and Me! The kayaking sopranos! -_- hahaha

1 Star Kayking Course - Day 1
I went to bed at 3 plus in the morning, but i fianlly fell asleep around 5? SIGH, and i had to wake up at 7.00am in order to make it to Kallang Mrt station by 8.30am. SUPERBLY EARLY snoreeeesss... And guess what? I woke up at 6.50am. Why? Cause i didn't set my alarm properly. The alarm hand was set at slightly before the number 7 on the clock. Sickening. Wo hai zi ji (-.-)
Guess what? We were late anyway haha. We reached Kallang around 8.50am. OH WELL.
We started off with learning how to use the paddle and the kayak. Aiyoo. Three of us can't fit into one kayak, so Eileen partnered Jia Zhen. AND GUESS WHERE I LANDED UP? With the instructor. Darn. Haha. Was wondering if that's good or bad, i decided it's bad. Why?
1) Intimidating. Cannot have fun. Must paddle nicely with the instructor, who sat in front. I was at the back.
2) As an instructor, she has to make sure everyone's doing the right thing. So she had to look out for the slower ones. So. i didn't paddle much. I just sat there, while she instructed a particular kayak which was constantly going in the wrong direction.
That kayak was a two seater one by the way. (funny. As i'm typing this, i feel like i'm rocking on the choppy sea. Headache.) I realized why they had so much problems. They were not coordinating. That's why i think individual kayaks are more fun. I means it's nice if you get to partner a friend and kayak together, but it's so difficult to coordinate. For example, if you suddenly want to turn right, you must tell your partner you are going to turn right, then BOTH turn right together. Wah mah fan. If you're in an individual kayak, you do what you wanna do! Hahhahaa
After drifting in that kayak with the instructor, we did capsize drill.
Capsize Drill
1) Capsize (DOH haha)
2) STAY in the overturned kayak and hug the bottom of the boat, together with the paddle
3) Tap the bottom (top i guess, since it's overturned) of the kayak 3 times
4) slide out of the kayak with the paddle in your hand
5) Shout for help
6) And then swim back to shore with your kayak
I was laughing at Eileen when she tapped the bottom of the kayak 3 times SUPER QUICKLY, like taptaptap! Mind you, it ain't easy staying underwater STILL IN THE KAYAK. My bad for laughing. When it came to my turn, my arms were so short, i could barely hug the whole thing to reach the bottom. So my taps were like --> tap... Hand slip... tap tap tap... slip... forget it. Just get out of the kayak already! THEN...
Wah OHH MY GOODNESS! Blurb blurb blurb. I have this tendencey to somersault under water. So that's what yours truly did when she got out from under the kayak. Somersault. And blurb blurb blurb, all the water went into the nose. WOW. Snorts out water. Ah well. Whatever. Just swim back to shore. Then i realized, wah piang, i wasn't moving. It's super hard to swim with the kayak. So i was told to to backstroke. So i backstroke lor, without looking at the back of me, and backstroked all the way literally to shore. ZZZZZ
Another part of capsize drill was getting back on the boat in deep level, meaning out feet can't touch the ground. ZOMG that was the worse thing ever. I really, had no more strength left. My legs were wobbling. We had to jump up onto the bow of the kayak, and slither our way back to the seat, which isn't near the bow at all, by the way. Gah. Each time i got onto the kayak, ALREADY got ONTO it, i slipped off. Probably about 5 times? It's so hard getting on ONE time, and i had to slip off every single time. Frustrating. Finally got it though! Achievement! Eileen and jia zhen had it harder. Jia zhen didn't manage to complete it, because the string of ther kayak broke, but eileen did it, after quite long. It's REALLY hard. Me and Jia zhen encouraged her at the side ahahaha. See how much we love you?
Had lunch. ARGHH not so nice but we all ate it up, to get energy for the next part of the course!!
YAY! We could re choose our kayaks! Ahahaha hee! I pleadingly asked for the single kayak haha. YAY GOT IT! SO i was on my own! Whoa exhilarating...ly tiring. -_- Gosh, if you thought two people kayak were bad, one is worse!! But like i said, you do what you want ahaha. =)
ahh shiok. The rest of the day was on my own, in my tiny little kayak! A little lonely, but feels so good. After that back pain, legs pain, wrist pain, arm pain, everything pain la. Haha
Worst was yet to come though. When we were done washing up all the kayaks, paddles, and life jackets, AND CHANGED INTO DRY CLOTHES AS WELL,
drip drip POUR POUR MONSOON HAILSTONES...
okay not so exaggerating, but it was really pouring buffalos. The three of us were stranded there for super long... Jia Zhen and i decided to brave the pouring buffalos and went out to scout the area, to see if there were any bus stops nearby. We failed, miserable, and wetly. If was terrible. Kallang FLOODS can. Drainage system is terrible haha.
We were walking in HUGE puddles that might as well have resembled ponds. The grass patches became swamps, the canals rivers, the rives opens seas, the open seas tasunami... okay i'm getting carried away again, but you get the idea. The half the road was flooded, so it was inevitable that we would get SOAKED whenever a car zooms past? ARGHH
We went back really grumpy. And we couldn't find out way out of kallang as well. So we waited there some more, and FINALLY the rain slowed. Thank you Lord. The three gung ho females made their way back home.
Time out people! Muscles aching. I'm still floating on the river. Stupid computer screen making me real dizzy. Good night! Tomorrow's day 2! We'll be learning how to RESCUE people!!
The Rainbow Rangers --> TO THE RESCUE!!
Right... see ya! I love kayaking =) Just don't like the consequences after. hahahaha

18th march 2008
What prompted me to blog about this? Honestly? Cherie's post. Haha. Oh a side note, i'm not rebutting her or anything ah, just decided that it's time to share my opinions, and my own personal experiences. I know, and yes, i DO KNOW, many people, and i can go as far to share, the friends i've made throughout my life; every single one of them, think i am rich, and as good as 90 percent of them have said it to my horrified and annoyed face, which i have tried so often to mask it with an "innocent" look. To this bunch of people, loisa has something to say to you! Oh and this is probably from secondary school up. In primary school, i was considered SUPERBLY poor, probably wore tacky clothes (still do haha), and well, a nobody. *rolls eyes* What can i say? I came from a stereotypically rich school. Haha the female version of ACS i guess. haha
ANYWAY. I thought of blogging about my poor humble background, and YES, i came from a superbly humble background, and my parents included. That's probably why they're working so hard to give me everything a parent could give the child they love so dearly. BUT, i shall not. Why? Cause i do not owe anyone anything. I do not have to make myself sound pathetic and pitiful, to PROVE i am not as classy as anyone thinks i am. Logical? logical. Haha
SO. i shall blog about my CURRENT lifestyle, and why i CHOOSE to live my life the way i live it.
I am an only child. I am all my parents have got. Whatever they have, whatever they do, it's for me ONLY. THAT DOES NOT MEAN I AM SPOILT JUST BECAUSE I AM AN ONLY CHILD. Please bear in mind that. I've grown up. I am not afraid to BLOW at you if anyone calls me "spoilt" (because i'm an only child) or "rich" (because i live where i do). Back to the point. I'm the only one, my parents can afford to send me to this school, and pay the ridiculous fees, BECAUSE i am the only one. I have asked them before. If i had a sibling... bye bye UB. If it makes you (whoever is out there spitting fire at me) feel any richer, i wouldn't be able to get this degree if i had the blessings of a sibling.
Moving on. I never thought about my dog as an asset before haha! Cherie mentioned "expensive pet", which reminded me of Pebbles, who btw, just jumped onto my bed to sleep with me. Disgusting, but sweet. ANYWAY. Pebbles is darn expensive to keep. I mean, the price of her alone is -_-. And the constant feeding, and vet bills (vets are CONMEN btw! haha). Sure is pricey. But hey, i NEED company. My parents, working as hard as they do, are not home to play with me. What do you expect me to do? No siblings, cousins all too old. Talk to the plants?? A pet is my life. I need someone to pamper, to love me back unconditionally. a pet is cheaper than a kid. Pebbles is my life. THE love of my life. I'll do anything to keep her. And don't forget, she's 3 years worth of christmas and birthday presents, relatives included. SO.
Next point. I'm actually having fun! hahaha. All the years of frustrations i guess. My life is simple. I do not crave expensive stuff, gadgets, clothes etc. Okay haha of course i want la, but i don't go all out to get it. The stuff i have --> All below a hundred.
Piano, laptop, dog, mp3 player, for goodness sake, my handphone has NEGATIVE value la. They PAY me to get a new phone. -_-
I spend little. And i am happy. My clothes? To date, the most expensive thing i have are two.
1. GB uniform --> Over a hundred in total
2. Blazer --> about a hundred after discount.
Half my wadrobe, costs 1.90 each. Why? From the warehouse sale. People, understand that i am small. Meaning, i can wear the same clothes as i did, in primary school (because my clothes then were oversized anyway). Why should i waste these clothes? If appearances count so much, don't hang out with me. I believe i am a big girl enough, to dress appropriately when need be. For the meantime, i believe friends should accept me as who i am. I wear clothes that make me FEEL comfortable. I can go to all thsoe expensive stores and buy a few nice fashionable clothes. But questions i have to constantly ask myself -->
1. I am shy. Should i outrage my own modesty to wear low cut stuff and short stuff that will make me look good?
2. I am small. Sometimes, even XXS doesn't fit. Bottoms look ridiculous on me. I look like i'm missing half a backside, and my front is oo, don't get me started! hahahaha
3. How often do i wear these out?
Again, my life is simple. I go to school, i hang out with family, at the most boring places, and play with my dog. Go out with friends? But to WHERE? kayaking?? How to wear all these nice stuff out. And i perspire like a mad pig. Don't want to spoil clothes.
I treasure my simplicity. I was raised this way. My money, my future assests of my parents that will go to me one day, is the damm house. THAT, is all i have. If some idiot burns my house down, that's it. I have nothing. Kapish? My parents have chosen to invest in property. That is all. I don't particularly have money to spare everyday -.- Granted, my parents are free and easy with my pocket money, but i am thinking of the future. So i take less. I have a grandpa, who's gonna live for very long. Thank the Lord for that, but also means more expenses. I'm not being mean, it's true. My family is the responsible one for him. I am one child. Responsible for TWO parents. Erm savings people! You know? Better safe than sorry! =)
Note: DO NOT make me compare with you (whoever you are), every little nitty gritty details about our expenses. Don't go that far. Just stop stereotyping me! :)
I love my life the way it is. I'm happy with what i have.
What i am not happy, are people's unneccessary comments, uninvited ones as well, about my financial status and my own "spoilt" personality.
After typing so much, i wonder what's the point of this -.- But since i already typed, might as well post. Otherwise effort wasted.
Dear Cherie, i hope i don't sound like i'm attacking you. I don't mean to. I still love you okay? It just got me thinking that's all. Everyone keeps saying the same thing to me over and over again. Some vicious part of loisa finally snapped! Cool! haha =)
Yep end of long post. Conclusion for today.
I agree there are super giam siap people around who ought to be slapped. As in they are truly kiam. But for those who have reasons, or appear... i don't know. Forgot what i told Jia Zhen just now. But whatever it is, we should never judge, especially by a person's property, and this is a personal reason for myself la.
There are relatively rich people who live in 3 room flats as well!
Be contented with what you have. Maybe, God has blessed us with little (if that's what you think), just so he can bless us with EVEN more in the future! =)

a summer field
and yet...
how dense love's foliage
has grown.
-- Izumi Shikibu
Oh and another one!!
I love you,
Not only for what you are,
But for what i am
When i am with you.
I love you,
Not only for what
You have made yourself,
But for what
You are making of me.
I love you
For that part of me
That you bring out;
I love you
For putting your hand
Into my heaped-up heart
And passing over
All the foolish, weak things
That you can't help
Dimly seeing there,
And for drawing out
Into the light
All the beautiful belongings
That no one else had looked
Quite far enough to find.
I love because you
Are helping me to make
Of the lumber of my life
Not a taven
But a temple;
Out of the works
Of my every day
Not a reproach
But a song.
I love you
Because you have done
More than any creed
Could have done
To make me good,
And more than any fate
Could have done
To make me happy.
You have done it
Without a touch,
Without a word,
Without a sign.
You have done it
By being yourself.
Perhaps that is what
Being a friend meann,
After all.
-- Roy Croft
Makes me wanna cry a little. I think i like the second one best. Yep, my friends are the one who make me the happiest, and make me the saddest too! But these are the feelings i will always cherish. Er makes sense? Aiya, odd. Just feeling a bit.. feelish today. Like feeling a lot. NOT emo, just... okay maybe emo. -.- But emo-ly good. Haha Not the suicidal emo kind. Haha
Thank you for being a friend to me =) And thank you for loving me too! Unless you don't... but if i say you're my friend, i probably love you, so i'll have enough love for the both of us =)
The best friend anyone can have is still the Lord though. He's the life of my life. No one can make me real sad without His permission! =)

13th March 2008
Guess what that little dirty poem meant? It ain't about making babies. It's about making SUGAR CAN JUICE. Siann... Literally snorted with laughter in class!!
Anyway, mum read something from a little book of wits today.
Here is it!
There is so much good in the worst of us,
and so much bad in the best of us.
That it won’t do good for any of us,
to talk about the rest of us.
It's so right, right? There's a little bit of good and bad in all of us. We shouldn't point out a splinter in someone's eye, when we have a plank in ours!
Moral of the story? Do not judege. Be kind and patient. Love one another. Yay!
*cheery smile*

12th March 2008
Oh, and bear in mind, i'm not scolding anyone, nor do i wish to offend anyone alright? Loisa still loves all. Moving on...
-->
OOO last night i was so so so very mad. I'm pretty tired right now, but i need to rant and get it out of my system. Hopefully, i'll have to force myself and keep my tongue in check no longer. It's very tiring, to the extent of having to look down and not get pushed into a conversation with whoever it is.
Anyway, projects are starting to kill me. Okay, they killed me long ago, but this time, it's making me feel real sick, and my patience is no longer... I have no idea if i am becoming intolerant, or if i have reached my limit and can no longer turn a blind eye. Make that two blind eyes.
Okay the story behind this -->
My group had a presentation due today. This morning. With a report. But swell, both was incompleted at the time of 12 midnight. So, a few of us had to rush like nuts, and compile everything. Bear in mind that the word "compiling" in this project, includes editting (A LOT OF IT), re-referencing, formatting.... By the time everything was done, it was 5.30am. That was when i went to bed. SNORE. Was typing rubbish to Jocelyn already. Frustrating, really. And at every corner, everyone was still editing their stuff, so files kept coming in. I was so hopping frustrated. My received files alone had 7 files with the SAME NAME, and 5 others files which had content that looked so similar, i had no idea what the changes were. In my school folder, there were 17 documents.
Hoowwww?
Is it just me, or is the standard of work going down, or just went banonkers in this particular project? It seems that in COM 300 and MGM 301, the same thing is going to happen again -_- It's already happening in COM 300 anyway.
Talking about COM 300, the tabulation is so maddening as well. Yes, no one is perfect, but when called to check, why ain't anyone moving to check their own tabulations? In the end, we have to look through everything, re count, by the end of the whole thing... wah fever again.
A person can only open so many tabs and windows, and can compile only so much. Wah after typing this, it reminds me of some random semester when i told myself "NO MORE COMPILING". Now alamak. Can't wait for next semester to be here!!
Alright, back to studying for the upcoming exam! Busy loisa! =)

Wanna guess what color my toe nails are now? And wanna guess what color Angel's finger and toe nails are? Predictable. Wanna guess what colors we wore today? Hahaha anyone who knows us well, guess away!!
You got it! Green toe nails, green top, and green bag for me! Pink finger nails, pink finger toes, pink top, pink earrings.......... ALL PINK LA! Haha that's angel for you! ahahaha
I was so sian when i met her at the Mrt station. a PINK figure walking to me. Immediate eye sore. Hahahaha no la kidding =P
The world is so small. I met my mum's cousin's wife at the pedicurist. Is pedicurist a real word? Anyway, yeah i did NOT recognize the lady at all! But she kept smiling at me, and she looked vaguely like an old piano teacher of mine. So i grinned back. When her husband came through the door, ALAMAK.
"MY MUM'S COUSIN AH"
-_-
Note to Loisa: Improve facial memory. No sounds wrong. Improve memory of faces. Yeah! =)

5th March 2008
So here goes! Something i made up, while levitating above my bed. Yeah right.
A love that never happened, a man she never knew
A girl who never understood, why her time was due.
She longed for him, he not at all.
It was coming alright. What was? Her downfall.
So she cried,
for days on end, having lost all pride.
No longer could she smile
She laughed no more
Even her friends could tell.
Then one day, her soul came back,
and she was set free! Amen!
She spread her wings, and flew, and soared,
a fool she was, no more!
Haha okay. Not exactly the best poem i had in mind, BUT. It's been a long time since I'm miss arty literature-ry!
I think i know what started all this poetry thing. CHERIE'S POEM!! Still doesn't make sense to me, but it's pretty easy to remember. And it's kinda cute. Read it!
Hard in in,
Soft out out
In out, in out,
Juice comes out.
Cute right? Haha. It'll stay right in your mind, believe me.
Right. That's all for today! Back to work Loisa! =)

27th February 2008
As a kid, i was involved in a thousand and one things, but evidently, i was never good at any of them. Mum said she put me in those programs to "develop potential hidden talents". Unfortunately, these supposedly "hidden talents" have remained hidden til this very day. Snorts.
Here'a a list of what i enrolled in as a small loisa...
- Piano: alright i might have a SMALL talent for it since i've come so far, but i don't REALLY enjoy it. Maybe i should try harder right? Since it's the only thing i can do so far haha
- Ballet: okay a total FLOP. Don't know what possessed me to go into it in the first place. Apparently, mum said it was what i wanted. And she agreed, hoping it would teach me good posture and to be be more graceful. Well, i thought it did, but as quoted by mum...
Mum: It didn't work for you. You're not any more graceful than you were as a baby. You never could walk the catwalk.Loisa: Maybe i'm better now?
Mum: Don't even try. You'll break the catwalk.
Loisa: -_-" That's a mother's love for you!
- Swimming: Ahh now that's something i'm proud of. Haha. I'm proud of what i can do NOW. Not the process of learning how to swim. Cause, let's just say it was chaos la ah. Crying in the pool. Drinking loads of water. Near drowning. Plus all the head knocking against the edge of the pool, which is probably why i lost all my baby teeth early.
- Art Class: Don't ask.
Loisa: YOU PUT ME IN ART CLASS? How come i can't draw now?
Mum: Perhaps it's a hidden talent. I suspect it'll remain hidden for a very, VERY long time. By the way, you got it from your father.
Loisa: Hmm...
Mum: Anyway, the art teacher was so frustrated with you, he drew everything for you. I always wondered how you could have brought home such beautiful pieces.
Loisa: HEY!! Maybe i ACTUALLY drew them MYSELF.
Mum: Yeah. Sure. You're eating donuts at every class, sitting there watching the teacher draw your pictures FOR you. Licking the icing off your fingers. ARGH!
Loisa: Uhhh... -_-"
- Abacus class and subsequently, "fast finger" counting in school: Okay i did pretty alright in abacus. Even went for exams to get certificates for them. The failure was in the stupid, and i repeat, STUPID, "fast finger" counting thing in primary school. Basically, we're supposed to count real fast with our fingers. No, it's not "1, 2, 3, 4, 5" then use toes to count etc. It's more professional and artistic. Ask me, and i'll show you how in school, the FAILED version of course. Whatever the case, i used abacus mental calculation to replace the fast finger thing. Ridiculous.
- Chinese Dance: Again, don't ask why i was in it, but i was. I dropped it anyway, cause i couldn't take the stress. We had to use this prop, this string thing, and wave it about we we jumped and danced. Aparently, i used it only to entangle myself, and thus falling about all over the stage. That in turn, made every other chinese dancer fall, SO. I went out.
Mum: Yeah, whenever i picked you up, you were always in a HEAP on the floor, with string all around you.
Loisa: Wasn't it dangerous? I could have strangled myself.
Mum: Nah you wouldn't. You were a professional at messing everything up, but without danger involved. Same with the christmas tree. Instead of decorating the tree, you decorated yourself.
Loisa: I wasn't that vain to decorate myself la.
Mum: No, i meant you were so small, you couldn't reach anything, so you tended to wrap yourself up while jumping to reach something.
Loisa: -.-"
Why do conversations with my mum always end up with me going -.-" ??
Sigh...

26th February 2008
Right now, i'm obviously taking a break haha. I nearly went nuts last night. Felt so overwhelmed with work. Was practically drowning under surveys.
Goodness, never in my entire life had i imagined that tabulating surveys would be this hard! I think it probably felt that way cause there were so many options and categories. GOODNESS. I'm putting all tabulation aside til after the exams. Imagine. The moment i come home on friday, i gotta tackle me and jane's surveys. Gotta combine all the holland village ones together. Juliana's and Pui Ching's ones will be next, the Marine parade cum east coast park. BAH
And finally, i gotta compile all 5 areas of surveys *head swirls* Haha
Mum was roaring away at me yesterday, cause papers were flying all around, i was lying flat on the floor drawing away on rough paper, counting the number of females, males, races, income blah blah. It didn't help that i took up what little WALKING SPACE there was in the house.
WHICH IS WHY, when i get my own place next time, i'll get one with A LOT OF SPACE. Or LITTLE FURNITURE.
BWAHAHAHAH then i'll be able to roll all over the floor without complaints. GRIN CHING!
Back to studying!!

21st February 2008
We are hosting the Singapore Youth olympics!! HAPPY HAPPY! Hahahaha i missed the actual moment though. Dad, mum and me camped in the car from 6.40 til 7.10pm, but there was no news on the radio, so we walked out to the coffee shop to have dinner. The moment we reached the table, everyone stood up cheering and clapping. Mum nearly fell over herself, haha she got a shock. Then we found out that Singapore won the bid. Zzzzzz -.-
But ah well, i'm proud of Singapore. She is small, but she is on her way!! Hahaha
Side note: GREAT things come in small packages. *ahem cough cough* Hahahaha
To end of, here's a stylo picture of myself. I'm pretending to be a male model by the way.
Stylist - Jocelyn (she arranged my scarf)
Fashion designer - Jia zhen (she lent me her sunglasses)
Professional photographer - Eileen (she took the picture)
Model - Loisa (haha who posed for the fun of it)
ps: I'll post the happy family pictures up another day. Having problems with uploading images, and for now, i'm too busy to play around with anything! So sorry, i'll be back with them though! =)
20th February 2008
Anyway, am in quite a happy mood now. Guess why? WHY? I'm listening to happy songs. Haha, so i'm dancing round the house. Causing chaos really. Cause my dog wants to join in. So there i am carrying Pebbles, and i forced my parents to dance haha. Will upload photos tomorrow. We're such a happy family at times like these. Talking to a friend today, it made me realize how much more work i have to be the counsellor in my parents' marriage. Well counsellor in a way. As in, whenever one is mae at the other, they always come to me. So i have to try to make them happy again. And every valentines day is so stressful haha. So much work for the kid!
Ahhh i hope i'll get to have a happy marriage too haha. Okay a little too far down to think of it BUT... haha
Anyway, if you're reading this, THANK YOU FOR THE SONGS! You made loisa a happy kid.
Bounce bounce bounce. I feel like dancing, dancing... haha

Trust me to do it on my dog, PEBBLES! The love of my life. Men are whatever, dogs are forever, yeah? Haha nah, i'm kidding. Anyway, here goes! Enjoy! Oh and believe me, it might look stagnant at first, but watch the whole thing, there's actual movement towards the end. So don't get bored and stop the movie clip halfway!! Oh i nearly forgot, you might want to stop the music of my blog first, before you watch the clip! heh.
Feel free to comment on how talented i am! Haha okay ignore that. Haha. Budding producer, Loisa Koh, at your service! =D Gosh i'm so proud of myself. Never believed i could accomplish something like that. It's pretty fun actually. By the way, if you wanna try it on your own as well, use Windows Movie Maker. It's easy. No problemo at all. Believe me, if i can do this, so can you.
Granted, there'll be no Oscar for me, but who cares? Haha i'm happy! And so's my dog, who just became a star overnight! Hahaha

17th February 2008
OKAY ANGEL! I won't wear heels, i won't wear short shorts, so i shall GO FORWARD and ADMIT that i am tiny! OKAY? Slap. But i'm still happy with Me! =)
Well Jolene and Ping May couldn't make it for the movie (slap may since she couldn't make it at the last minute), and slap junxian too since he had work. Oh btw, he had to wear a purple uniform. Haha cute, prune. Haha, nah...
Right so comes to movie. Jumper. Don't know which wise guy picked Row C! And in case you didn't know, row C is the third row from the FRONT. So you get the idea. If we're watching another movie, this time, angel and i will get the tickets. Haha and to think we were there earlier and didn't get them. Okay slap us. Just before the movie, we rushed down to get stuff to eat during the movie, and they stuffed everything into my bag. Smuggling purposed. Should my bag have burst, ROAR from loisa. Haha
Angel and i sat on the inside, and we had to literally turn our butts, fold up our legs and sit sideways to watch. We were pretty comfortable leaning on each other actually, just that it was a little too near the screen. James phone was constantly blinking, so we were illuminated in bright blue light haha.
My review for the movie -->
????????????????????????????????
Yep. That's it. This was ALMOST as bad as cloverfield. Headache. Jumper. The entire movie was literally "jumping". Jump Jump Jump Jump. Yep, that's what they did. Jumped. Really fast. Headache. Don't ask where they jumped to. Before you could figure out where the place was, they had already jumped to the next location. In the end, i gave up figuring out the purpose and just leaned back into angel. At the end of the movie, i laughed til my tears almost flowed out cause the two boys didn't want to move. So guess what the genius or a genius angel did? She SQUEEZED her way in between the rows. I followed suit. Couldn't stop laughing.
End of the day. Back to home sweet home. I really want to watch sweeny todd though. Love johnny depp! heh =D
16th Februrary 2008
Interesting two days though! Had a date, not wait, TWO DATES with angel!! Btw girl, if you're reading this, i won't forget your OFFER! Hahahahahah we can't be nuns, so we shall turn the other way! Okay okay okay... Shall quite the rubbish.
Right on saturday, I met up with the "first three months" mates!! WHOA i forgot how nonsensically hilarious they could be. Had fun though. Angel was there, Jo was there, May too, and Jet and Ja-mes! Reason for meeting up? To go visiting! The start of the day was BAD, but nevermind. It got better with friends =) Angel made me run all the way to Macs though grumble. Oh, one problem... the oranges were kinda squashed by the time we got to James' place. I was hoping his mum wouldn't squeeze them, or tada, orange juice. zzzz
OMG his place is like, beautiful! I was hoping i could stay on my best behavior and not roll about on the floor. His floor is squeaky clean and white, and the wind ahhh... oooo... Sigh... *content* The view was well... was... okay, i didn't get to see much of the view. The wall of his balcony is too high. Dumb. How to enjoy scenery like that. Oh and his mum is sweet too. Looks like him. His dad bought KFC for us, but oops, too full to eat. Felt pretty awful about it.
Next stop, junxian's place. Hahahaha he lives so near to kenneth! If i lived there, i'd be dropping in on those two every hour or so. Nah, i think i rather be at tampines to drop in on angel and amelia! Anyway, his house is like, complicating. Kept craning our necks to look for some funny school name. Actually i should have felt like puking already. Motion sickness. But was too annoyed with Jame's sleeves to notice much. So messy. He doesn't know how to roll them up. Felt like grabbing him over to do them myself. Messy. Annoyed. May was real quiet, and i think she's wearing lenses too! Heh.
At junxian's place, it was a little weird at first. Angel and me SO needed to pee! Like real bad haha. But for complicated reasons, we could not. Haha. The rest did though. And i wanted to slap jet numerous times. He was shaking the cny goodies like nuts, and then eat halfway leave the stuff open. AND BOY does he have an appetite. Haha i wouldn't mind competing with him one day. Maybe i could match his. haha. The guys proceeded to entertain the girls, with jokes that i will admit only in here, that angel and i could not catch, until a few seconds later. OKAY LAG. If you notice, we would smile at the end of the joke, and 5 seconds later, ROAR with laughter.
Okay okay, i didn't roar. Angel did. But i snorted. Really tried to behave myself, but i like to snort. So sue me. They're cute la. Hilarious bunch. Even the quiet may giggled beside me. End of visitation. Angel cabbed over to continue her visitation, May went home in the other direction, Jo, Jet, Ja-mes and me left. Zzzzz lousy train ride. Danced on the train. Lack of balance. Kena laughed at. Nearly slid into the pole once, which would resulted in a very unglam untangled mess of loisa, metal, and blood. Remind me to wear shoes with better friction next time.
Had fun surprisingly. I was afraid none of them would remember me since i left them halfway in february after the collection of the Os.
On to Sunday!!

8th February 2008
We had two reunions! Hahaha and even then, not the entire family were there. The first reunion was on the eve of Chinese New Year, but one of my cousins from Austrlia couldn't make it, cause she had a reunion with her father's side. We're related through our mothers.
My first thought when my aunt said "She has a reunion with the OTHER SIDE", i was like, "OTHER SIDE???" What, ghosts? Heaven? What other side? My mum looked at me as if i was insane.
Loisa: Huh? What other side does she have? Reunion with ghosts from heaven??
Mum: -_- You tao nao bo ho seh...
Loisa: *thoughts in head* Zzzzz, say until like that...
Mum: She's eating with her dad's family la...
Loisa: Her father has a FAMILY??
Mum: -____________________-"""" *probable thoughts in head* I have a dumbass of a daughter
It was then that it hit me. OOOMMMGGGG other people have TWO families! I just realized, my family is so superbly small. But even then, it IS a family. And i am so thankful that i at least have THAT.
Well anyway, that aside, we arranged to have a second reunion, on the second day of Chinese New Year. YAY! Double blessings from family, hahaha, unfortunately, no double ang pows -.-
Okay, so for both reunion dinners, we had, peranakan food. A little Chinese, a little Indonesian. OOOMMMGGGG SHIOK!!! I am so peranakan!!! I just realized, i have so much of my heritage in me. There was BUA KELUAK (a kind of nut gravy you eat with curry chicken) and CHAP CHYE (peranakan vegetables). AHH heaven!!
If there was this kind of food in heaven everyday, this truly applies -->
Heaven is a wonderful place,
Filled with BUA KELUAK and CHAP CHYE,
I wanna be where these food are,
Heaven is a wonderful place...
Okay, so the two middle lines are made up, but ah hahaha you get my point. Oh yeah, and since my mum and her sisters are of the indonesian blood, they're the peranakans or "baba", who love these authentic food. The husbands all hate it! Down the line are my female cousins, who all love it as well, INCLUDING ME. And guess what, their boyfriends don't like the taste of that food! AAHHHAHAHA truly, the females are of this bloodline =)
Anyway, back to my wonderful non traditional family. We gather to eat, as a family, but we don't exactly talk as a family. Instead, during our meal, we're watching tv. After the meal, we're still watching that same movie, til it's time to go home, we say bye bye, then leave. -.- I suppose that isn't the way traditional families do their reunion? I'm not sure. But it sure is fascinating to me!! Someone do tell me what's the usual Chinese way of having a reunion. Is there the tossing of the what, lo hei thingy?
Talking about movies, during today's dinner, we watched King Kong. I was seriously whimpering at the end already. The only thing that stopped me from crying was that i wanted to portray myself as a big girl now, not the baby of the family. Men are so cruel. If you have watched the movie, you would know how cruel they were to the monkey/gorilla fella. He was in pain, he was hurt... If i were in the cinema, i would have just wailed already.
Sniff. I definitely would not want to watch THAT movie again. =(

then *bursts into tears*
Haha, i'm currently a leo who's trying to act tough but in the end, cannot make it hahaha.
I'm a little furstrated that's all. I've been constantly sick since november last year, and it's slowing down my work progress.
And this Nutrition Food Analysis is seriosuly the final death of me. After painfully figuring out and estimating AND breaking down the food i've ate in the last 3 days, i decided to input all my data into the website and analyze my diet. And guess what?
-PAGE ERROR-
ZZZZ this is the 7th time i've done it, and believe me, it's no easy task. Requires brains, eyesight, coordination, and it is TEDIOUS!!!
ROOOAARRR!!
So. Well. Hrmph! *chews on gummy*

28th January 2008
Singaporeans, in general, are getting on my nerves. Where's the heart? The consideration? The love? The morals? The values?
Most importantly, WHERE IS THE DARN QUEUE???
I was having dinner with my parents after the doctor's appointment. Lovely dinner =) Anyway, halfway through it, i offered to get drinks for everyone. Simple orders really. A hot tea, and one milo peng.
So i walked happily to the drinks counter and stood in line. An old lady stood behind me. Suddenly, the line became a triangle, then a circle, then simply a mass of people. I of course, was somehow pushed to the outer rim of the mass. Huh. How on earth was i going to order like that? So i stuck my hands out as if i had durians under my armpits, and began pushing as politely as possible (okay so pushing isn't very polite, but rather i MOVED in between little spaces) through the mass of people to the counter.
I shouted out my orders "AUNTIE! TEI YI BEI! HAI YOU MILO-PENG!!!" Wah next thing i knew, one shove and i was right back where i DIDN'T belong. At the outer rim of the masses yet again. Hmm the old lady was still there as well. Next thing i knew, an Indian man squeezed past the old lady and yelled, "Tiger beer! Two more bottles!" He paid and left.
I was like "What the...???" EXCUSE ME? Do you have eyes? This is a QUEUE? As distorted the shape of the queue was, it's still a queue! Just because you ordered earlier on, doesn't give you the priority to get first hand service. If you want to purchase more drinks, join the QUEUE man!! You know? Q.U.E.U.E.?
Finally, the masses disappeared and only the old lady and i were left. Obviously, the drinks auntie neglected my order, so i reordered. I was pretty pissed and grumpy by then. Wah then goodness knows what happened, some guy came behind the old lady, and said,"Milo peng, kopi-o, pepsi light, hai yo green tea".
AND THE AUNTIE IMMEDIATELY PREPARED THE DRINKS FOR HIM AND GAVE HIM THE MILO THEY HAD INITIALLY MADE FOR ME!
Whoa what nonsense is this? He paid then left with his drinks. The lady then stared at me expectantly, probably waiting for me to order my drinks. By then i was spluttering in indignant and anger. "splutter splutter, MILO-PENG, splutter, teh, splutter snort. OKAY?? splutter"
Then i got my drinks.
WAHH i was mad as hell. The next person who cut my queue or the old lady's, i would have made sure he/she will never reproduce again. Seriously. Was controlling myself already. I then literally HOPPED with rage back to the dinner table. Of course, 20 minutes had passed by then. SNORT.

-pants-
Right. This flu/cough bug of mine is very annoying. It's been a more than a month already. I've had it since the exams, it's so frustrating. A few others have caught it as well. Drink lots of water everyone. This bug doesn't seem to be going away for a while. Try not to catch it!!
Anyway, school has started again, and my blog looks... stuck. I guess it's because i've been to the library and have got myself wound into the nose-in-the-book habit again, and have no liking for the Internet at the moment. The only reason i'm posting this is so my mum's and my face do not come up and stare hauntingly at me everytime i click on my website.
Classes have been... well... erm... Okay. I confess. Majority seem... sleepable. Haha. It's the voices of the lecturers i think. Whatever the case, i have quite a few American lecturers this semester, including one from Ireland!! (psst. WESTLIFE! hahaha) Eileen said she's lost in her facilitator's blue eyes (she's also from Ireland), yet mine is way too strict and fierce for me to stare into her eyes. I'm scared. I rather stare at my notes. Ah well.
Rightho. A new goal for this semester. Alright, the same old goal. Do as well as possible, praise the Lord for whatever i get. Amen.

Turkey Photos

Yep, romantic. Just mum and dad.

Me and mum at the foot of the oldest oak tree in Turkey!

Beautiful view...

hahaha i couldn't resist. Turkish puppies!!

Now take a good look at this. This is soo pretty! It's actual cave houses, just like those you see in Flintstones!! hahaha People REALLY used to live there, all the way til 1958 or something like that.

Ahhh another interesting thing. "Turkish Naturel Organic Viagra Market". Hahahaha! Of course, mum and me HAD to go take a look. Dad was too shy, said he didn't need it anyway. *cheeky grin* Anyway, CHEY! They were selling nuts!! Turkish nuts! Now now, i mean the real nuts. Don't be cheeky there. Good thing we went to take a look, cause the nuts ARE GOOD. They had samples there. The viagra thing was probably a marketing gimmick or something. Dad was suspicious, said maybe the nuts were coated with viagra. -.- Well zzz to him! hahaha

If you look closely, i'm about to cry soon from the cold. Dad was a little slow in taking pictures, so our smiles weren't really smiles, but frozen ones from the cold. Our noses were red and dripping.

See? My arms are stuck in my jacket! This is a hot spring or something. No sorry, my bad. It's a mountain top where the water flows down, and apparently, the water is "hot" (they said it's hot but it's warm), so we were allowed to stick our feet in a bit. Didn't help in warming us up though.

There, a clearer picture!

Ahhh the folks are posing

And uhh so am i...

Haha oops, couldn't resist again! A turkish cat!! haha

The ruins of a roman empire...

The panaromic view from the top...

And that's the FAKE trojan horse. The real one's in erm... can't remember. The guide was speaking too fast and my brain was frozen. There's dad and me peeking out from the second level, and some anonymous fella fro the top level. If you look closely, i've wrapped my scarf around my entire head, Istanbul style. Way too cold up there. The wind... ugh.. BBRRRR
Yep that's about it! =) GO VISIT TURKEY!

Turkey Trip (23rd December 2007 - 1st January 2008)
Piece of advice for exotic goers: Bring maggie mee, thick clothing, loads of toilet/tissue paper, a travel pillow (one of those you can put around your neck and sleep on), a teaspoon/medicinal spoon for doh --> medicine, and perhaps a bed.
Okay i'm joking about the bed but seriously.
Right about the trip, thank goodness the scenery made up for everything, cause all else was... BAD! Really chilly weather, odd food, not-supposed-to-be-budget-but-really-is-budget hotels, funny service, equally funny water... you name it! Okay i'm sorry, i'm not criticing Turkey. It's a great place really. Very historically and culturally memorable, but to live there and eat there, WHOA, had i been there for more than 10 days, i think i wouldn't have made it out alive. As it is, i already fell sick. Just the normal stuff --> cough, flu, fever. But the sore throat is ONE OF A KIND. The worse one i've ever got in my entire life. My entire throat was like.. ooo ahhh gahhh *cough* I know how it started. The weather was very dry and cold, and i was shivering like mad, obviously due to the LACK OF CLOTHES.
This i blame the MOTHER. Haha nah not really, but really. Nah, but it IS her. I said, "Mummy, better bring more clothes, especially since i'm a sum po kia (skinny, scared of cold, kid)." Mum replied,"No la! Don't need! Short sleeves and one jacket can already. It's ONLY going to be slightly above 10 degrees."
HAH! SLIGHTLY ABOVE 10 DEGREES MY COLD BUTT!! It went down to negative 3 degrees! *shiver shiver* So yeah, the weather made my throat very uncomfortable. And the Turkish food is extremely unhealthy! It's all fried! Chicken kebabs, fried fish, potato strips etc. Alright they're very nice, BUT still bad for the throat. And their soup plus salads! They're either too bland, or too sweet -.- Did i mention Turkish people have a VERY sweet tooth? Yep, try the Turkish delights.
Oh yeah, talking about Turkish delights, sorry guys, i only brought back a few, and everyone has to share, cause guess what? RIGHHT! I ran out of money there. Everything's SOOO expensive! And the currency Lira, is almost 1-1 with the US dollar! Whoa the standard of living there is extremely high and pricey! So ah, my family didn't spend much. We didn't even buy anything for ourselves. All we got were souvenirs for friends and family, then we ran out. The toilets there are costly as well. And because my throat was so dry, we had to get a cup of tea (which is considered the cheapest possible thing there in Turkey at every pit stop. Come the last 3 days, all of us suffered, cause we couldn't even buy water (water there is very dirty, so we have to buy bottles), considering how painful our dehydrated throats were already. On the shopping day, everyone bought loads of stuff, and the KOH family was the only one who sat at Macs and stared at each other since we had no money to purchase anything. -.- Zzzzz
Moving on to the hotels. They were all 4 star hotels, but totally lousy. As what one family said, "They are 4 star budget hotels la!" The water is rusty. RUSTY! As in the bathing water that is. The shower heads are all cracked, and it's so... arghh! Even if there was hot water, which there WASN'T, all you wanna do is jump into the shower, sprinkle water on yourself, who cares about soaping and scrubbing, and jump out. Which was erm, precisely what i did. BUT i bathed properly when i got back to Singapore ALRIGHT? Stop giving me that look. I know you are!!
Number 2: The heaters in the hotel rooms were not working as well, so well, you know how cold it gets in the nights. So yeahhh, BRRRR??
Number 3: The last hotel we went to, was called "Cartoon Hotel". And honestly, cartoon by name, cartoon by nature. Why? CAUSE THE BEDS COLLAPSE WHILE YOU ARE ON THEM! Yep! I was sleeping on it, and suddenly i found myself sliding down and at the foot of the bed. So i exchanged beds with my dad, and almost immediately, the poor dazed guy found himself plonked on the floor. I gave him back the bed and slept with my mum instead. Tight squeeze but ahh, so warm. =)
Number 4: ROAARRR the service AHHHH slap slap! The service is so bad. My mum was so piqued! It seemed that for the very reason that we are Asians, we were not treated as well as the Caucasians, so the waiters constantly cleared our plates very quickly without asking, even when it was obviously obviously even to the dumb that we were not done yet. And by the way, teaspoons are almost non-existent in Turkey. We could hardly find one to borrow when we needed one to take our medicine with. Even when we did, communication was such a hurdle that most often that not, we estimated a teaspoon and poured medicine from the bottle into our mouths. Yes don't try that at home children. You might get drugged. We didn't have stirrers either, so we used the ends of our toothbrush to stir our tea and milo. Yeah yeah yeah. -__-
BUT HEY! The scenery was BEAUTIFUL! Word are not enough to describe i. There is so much HISTORY in Turkey! In both the Asian and European continents! OOooo And of course, we learnt a lot about it in our UGC courses. The Hellenistic ages, the nomads, Alexander the Great, Troy, the Turks, the battles... So mach CULTURE and STORIES and ooo... AHHH
All i can say is, you HAVE to visit Turkey at least ONCE in your life. It's a life experience. Really. But once is enough. Really as well. =D I'll post a few pictures up the next time alright? A little tired now. All that medication is making me real drowsy. I walked straight into the balcony door earlier on, thinking that it was open. -.- Mum laughed til her face ached. Grumble. -.-
Night everyone! =)
ps: i'll show you turkish dogs and cats as well okay? Funny eh, how Turkey is 99.9 percent Muslim, yet the Muslims there take in dogs and care for them as well! Different cultures i guess. But the animals there are so tame and adorable! Hee!! =) happy

24th November 2007
I've been cranky since last night, so today i decided to let all that maniac out. I saw a couple of mimosas or touch-me-nots at my granddad's place today. Are they really called touch-me-nots, or is my mum pulling my leg again?
Whatever the case, i almost killed a couple of them. I was playing with them with child-like fascination, continuously poking them when i realized they no longer opened. OOO so mad!!
Out of guilt, i had a moment of silence, 5 minutes. Said a little prayer for them just in case, and opened my eyes. They were open! I had even been tricked by mother nature!!
Ooo maddening!! I started stomping all over the pavement today, full of anger and wrath, and my killer instincts came out again. The all mighty Loisa stood in the middle of the road, all ready to ROAR with belligerance, probably attack a few drivers with acrimony, strike out with asperity at innocent bystanders... ... ... ...
When i felt the wind in my hair.
Immediately, Loisa turned all graceful like, and struck a post, still in the middle of the road. Her arms lifted above her gracefully, she smiled an oscar winning smile, and her hair twirled behind her, like the atumn leaves falling around her... ... ...
THEN
*BEEP BEEEP BEEEPPPP*
Oh well. My mum was tired of staring at my antics. I didn't even noticed she was back in the car.
Ah well. The randomness of loisa. I'm obviously off today. VERY off. zzzzz

grin
THANK YOU JOCE! -hug-
23rd November 2007
Ahhh finally all presentations are done! Next week i've got a break from school, but that means i have to hibernate... NO. Stay at home, AWAKE, and study my butt off to make up for all the rubbish low-marks presentations i've had throughout this semester. Well it's only for A PARTICULAR course. A little upset but hey, i tried my best to be prefessional. It's not my fault i'm small. I can't help it if people laugh when i sniff and cough into the mike. I'm sick for goodness sake. I shall not be mad. I shall learn, and grow bigger, and
GIVE A STONE FACE. LOOK PROFESSIONAL.
Right. Done. That's about it for now. This semester is bad la ah.
And it didn't quite help when i realized something today. I had to hurt, to realize that i might have unintentionally hurt my own friends as well. Not that it's something really exaggerating. But just a note: If we have friends we really love, and whom we treasure as friends, we should treat them as well as we can. We should not be ashamed of them, nor ignore them for too long, no matter how busy, tired, or annoyed we are. Even if our many different circles of friends are not a whole social circle of friends itself, we should still have the common courtesy not to give in to peer pressure, and treat them as how we feel for them. Yeah?
And that's what scares me. That...
1) I could have been not so nice to friends i love
2) I had to feel that hurt in order to know and realize it myself
Goodness that IS bad isn't it? To must-feel-it or suffer-the-consequences before you realize it? It's like a mother telling her daughter not to touch the fire cause it will hurt, but the daughter HAD to touch the fire just to know herself without believing the mother. Scary eh?
Right. End of thoughts. To the books! See ya =)

13th November 2007
Okay enough of my tantrums. It's just so very frustrating, when we need to send loads of emails, and attach our files, documents or presentation slides to them. AND ALL EMAILS DO NOT WORK!
I've tried yahoo, gmail, AND hotmail, but none work.
*pulls hair*
Grumble. Right. Done being sulky.
Puts on this sickly sweet toothy grin on my face.
-GRIN-
Right.

8th November 2007
So the last few weeks have been madness, but hey, this week i've self declared holiday. Haha intially it was supposed to be a day, and perhaps back to work after that, but somehow, or other, it became a week, SO.
Heh. But, then again, i spent my time doing up admin work (organizing notes...), and THAT'S when i realized, ROAR, my comms teacher gave me a wrong grade for my summaries!!! And it's a summary whose grade i have to take into account! SO, jia lact. I will try and see if i can get the mark when she gets back from CHICAGO. Grumble, if i don't get it, i will be quite sore, but i think this semester has toughened me up a bit. I don't know if it's good or not. I'm not so particular about marks, cause i can't seem to do anything about it (SUCH AS THE PREJUDICES OF MY BUSINESS COMMS LECTURER), but yet, that might mean i don't care about my grades anymore.
Aiya, i shouldn't think so much. Do my best, and let the Lord do everything else for me! =)
Oh yeah, as i was saying, i did admin work, did the household chores, spent time with dog, jogged and brisked walked at the canal, been doing some shopping with mum for formal clothes, and i am honestly about to give up, like NOW.
I CANNOT FIND ANYTHING THAT FITS ME!
Initially, i was fussy and wanted long pants, instead of a skirt. Then, i gave up cause it was obvious NO PANTS would fit me. Mum said skirts are easier to find anyway. So okay. And what do i get? Skirts that fall off my waist almost immediately. Jackets that reach my kness, and whose sleeves flap at the bottom. Bell bottom pants, since they're humongous, and i look like i lost my butt when i wear them.
*throws arms in the air and rolls eyes*
Let's face it. I need to tailor make something. Grumble.
Out.

22nd October 2007
Some thirty inches from my nose
The frontier of my Person goes,
And all the untilled air between
Is private pagus or demesne.
Stranger, unless with bedroom eyes
I beckon you to fraternize,
Beware of rudely crossing it:
I have no gun, but i can spit.
So moral of this poem? Don't come too close to me, or I'll get scared instead and run far far FAR away from you!
Something like that. =) But don't distance yourself too far either. okay? Ahh my point is, don't know me INSIDE OUT. Logical?
Okay never mind. Just a thought. I like the poem anyway ha ha. It's from my communications textbook, interpersonal communication, Chapter 6: Expectancy Violations Theory.
That's it! See ya =)

Birthday presents

This is a from Cherie! It supposedly looks like me, but nevermind. There's a hole on stop to put my handphone, to keep pebbles from biting it! But it doesn't work. -.- Pebbles chews the mushroom instead. *grumble*

Now this, is from darling Angel! My dress! A DRESS! People applaud!! Haha it kinda looks like a wedding dress eh? HAHAHA

Aha! From Jovin and Alfred. It's a calendar! Useful! =) A little confusing i have come to realize, but nonetheless, can be used!

TADA! My very own eeyore! *kissed eeyore* EEYORE, not kenneth alright?! It's a pencil case. Terribly cute, but is it funny to carry around in school?? HAHA!! Love the tail! Thanks Jia Zhen, Steph, and Joce!!

LOOK AT IT! Who can resist it??

And... slippers from Krystel! Okay fine, everyone couldn't tahan my current BADLY BITTEN pair of slippers, SO... haha thank you!! =)
And now... for the grand finale... My sick dog. -.-

Yep, it's wearing a lampshade, to prevent her from scratching herself. Okay nah, it isn't a lampshade. But it sure looks like one!!

She's sad... =(

Ahhh but look! When she's relived of it, she loves her toy dog!! -_-"
Okay end of show. See ya!

8th September 2007 (Overnight cycling)
At 9pm, i was running around paya lebar mrt station trying to find the bus stop where bus 76 was available. Our destination? East coast. My destination? Find the bus stop so i could board the same bus as eileen! After a lot of staring at roads, squinting at bus numbers and so forth, i met eileen on the bus! WHOOT!
We had entertainment on the bus almost immediately.
*sms from kenneth* "With auston now, at macs"
Eileen was quite fast --> "AUSTIN POWERS AHHH??"
hahaha what the poor guy meant was that he was with ashton already!! Cute fella. Okay won't make fun of him anymore.
Right, so we walked to east coast park where we met up with the rest, 9 of us cyclists, and one inhumane american roller blader, a.k.a. BARAK!! He's ABSURDLY good on his blades!! -faint- Eileen was "THE MAN" at the rental shop. She managed to make a good bargain for us, which was 11 dollars per bike, inclusive of a complimentary bottle of plain water. Love the girl!! =)
So, off we were!!
-pant pant- Loisa's Thoughts: -->
Hmmm this isn't so bad, besides, the scenery is soo pretty! Chit chats to eileen. Watches barak on his rollerblades in awe. Glares at kenneth for cycling on the road; thus, his near death experiences with numerous cars. Failed attempt to kill jaden on his bike, although that was no fault of mine, since he told me to "SLOW DOWN!!"
Ahhh we've reached lau pa sa!! We cycled over benjamin shears bridge, and by the way, you may not want to attempt that anytime soon. *pats sore bottom* Ahh the food was SO expensive. As quoted by eileen, "I paid like $6 for a few strands of satay and one prawn. -_- " Hahahaha! *nods in total agreement*
So far so good, our stomachs were full, we had beautiful views all around us, so, back to east coast for us! The night was still young! It was around 1 plus in the morning! But guess what, we went back to east coast park, not to rest and enjoy the sea breeze, but to CARRY ON TO CHANGI! Okay, at that point of time it was quite exciting, but ahhh, haha it was then when all the sleepiness and delusional-ness and the aches started.
I was falling asleep so the way i cycled was quite well, dangerous. I would either cycle sideways or stop entirely, and without a "ahem" from jielong behind, i would probably have crashed into something or someone (probably jaden). Eileen suggested talking or singing to keep awake, so we sang sound of music songs, then we slowly gave up, due to
1) We simply no longer had any breath left
2) I was disappearing behind
3) IT STARTED TO RAIN!!!
Oh my goodness and DID IT RAIN!! The first time, it was drizzling, then it started to rain. We were soaked. Nevermind, rain had stopped. So we decided to rest at changi, and eat nasi lemak (which wasn't nice) and ta mee pok (which was way too spicy). By then i was dying, seiously. AND SO WAS STEPH CHAI AND JIELONG! So i wasn't the only one!! Hahaha, all three of us were dozing off at the table already. I didn't even know what i was eating. Eileen was quite nice to tolerant my half-non existence already. =)
Oh wait, i forgot to tell you HOW MUCH WE CYCLED JUST TO GET TO CHANGI!! It was... MILES!! Ashton said "5 more minutes" and 15 minutes later, it was STILL "5 more minutes". Haha slap!! Right so somehow, the outcast group was always jaden, jielong, steph chai and me. Bear in mind that again somehow, we always cycled a different route than the others, which ALSO means we cycled more -__-"
Right okay, we took a few pictures at the changi coffee shop, and proceeded backwards to east coast park again. SNOOORRREEE
Suddenly, LIGHTNING STRUCK. THUNDER BOOMED. THICK DROPLETS OF ACID RAIN PELTED DOWN ON THE LONE RIDERS OF THE NIGHT! Okay nah... in reality, in PAINFUL WET TIRING reality, lightning did strike, and there was a bit of thunder, but it drizzled. However, fearing for our lives (which are of extreme importance to us), we decided to take shelter in a small pavilion. We saw the sun rise, a little of it that is. When it became evident that the drizzle would not stop for a long time, we carried on with our cycling.
As per usual, i lagged somewhere at the back again. Was really zig zagging all over the place already. Kept losing my balance and was going around in circles. At one point of time, my vision went blurry. I was too tired i guess. Eileen was going strong. Well at first anyway haha (smiles)
IT WAS THEN, when the drizzle became... GIANT PAINFUL DROPLETS OF WATER. YIKES!!! Everyone started peddaling furiously, well as furiously as possible. We were cycling against the wind! I was frozen on my bike. Butt was dead, couldn't move at all, and my hands were stuck to the handle bar! Every car that passed us, splashed water on us. In fact, there was one long vehicle which SPED past us, and OH MY GOODNESS, he was going so fast that kenneth, eileen, jaden, jielong and me ALL swung to the left. It was as if the wheels were sucking us in, and to pull away, we had to swing. It was scary, i felt like i was being pulled by some invisible force or something. *shivers*
When we finally reached east coast park, eileen and me were seriously hysterical already. I was sneezing like nuts, we were both so cold, eileen's legs were stuck, i was pedalling for the sake of pedalling, even kenneth was on auto pilot already. Dead. Total deadness. The RAIN DOWNPOUR had no mercy on us. We were soaked, through and through. I took it as a sign that i was not meant to go for cell group. (Eileen and i are always unlucky. Everytime we need a change of clothes, we don't bring it. When we do bring, we don't need it!!)
In the end i did go for cell group, after a lot of borrowed items from people. Heh, thanks people!! Ashton lent me his shirt to change into, cause i was really shivering already, and i couldn't go to cell group looking like a drowned cat. Jaden lent me his sister's slippers (can't be his i think). Ahh so off to cell group i went!! =)
Oh on a side note, we waited in the cold for an hour to return our bikes, cause the shop man was an hour late!! *glares with loads of eye power*
Ahh this is from eileen too! It seems i'm quite ridiculously dumb in times of weariness. -.- -->
Ashton: Can you all take it?
Eileen: NO!!!!
Ashton: (directed to Loisa) Can you take it?
Loisa: Huh?
Ashton: Can you take it?
Loisa: Take what? Water? Oh, you can have some.
-Everyone faints-
Ashton: Errr, im thristy. -grabs some of her drink- Thanks.
Snort. Right okay long long sleepless day. Off to bed now. Good night! My legs had better be slimmer and my butt firmer (no not flater!!) after this intense cycling trip!!
3rd - 7th September 2007
Yep anyway, thursday went through smoothly, except that i forgot i had to open and introduce the group, til jonathan poked me to say i should start NOW, wah panick attack, in the end jane took over. Jane's a live saver!!
Right, so thursday, i reached home, and SMACK, into my bed. Head first of course. Got a bump but i didn't care, immediately proceeded to snoring my life away. Slept like a baby til friday, BUT I STILL HAD TO WAKE AT 5AM so, i had a good sleep, but not THAT great. Nutrition on friday, yada yada, then charles reminded us about the arranged overnight cycling that night.
I went into "HAH??" mode immediately. I had forgot all about it, because being the presumptious me, i conveniently thought it was off when no one responded to my suggestion of changing it to another date!! ROAR!!!
The end result was that jia zhen couldn't make it (cry) so eileen and i went ahead with it. Except that we would go later of course. -grin-

3rd September 2007
I found a mouse downstairs, it ran onto my shoe (YES ON TOP OF IT) and sat there, so I brought it home, and I've officially adopted it. Okay, illegally adopted it for my mum does not know about her. It's a her, by the way! =) Right I'll tell her when she gets home. I think she'll let me keep it since dad isn't home and it's so so sweet!!
Yep, that's all for now. No time to gush over the cute little twitching nose, the tiny paws that go pitter-patter pitter-patter on the marble flooring, the...
Right enough is enough, Loisa!

21st August 2007
Well we decided on monday late in the night, that we should start being homely people who actually can bake, expecially if we love food. If we want to eat, we should learn how to make it. Thus, the baking of COOKIES at jielong's house. Reason being, none of us have a proper oven.
Well we were erm, late in meeting up, as per usual... Haha
We picked out all the ingredients in pasir ris NTUC, zzzz nearly died trying to find the sugar and chocolate chips!! They were hidden from sight!!
At jielong's house, he realized he didn't have vanilla essence, so we kindly followed him out to a NEARBY SHOP to get it, since he looked so lonely. NEARBY indeed ehh?? FAKE-O!! It was super far!! AND it was raining as well! *slaps jielong*
Okay on to the action. It went something like this...
1. Eileen, Jia zhen, and Loisa staring at all the different recipes in eileen's camera (she took pictures of the recipes)
2. We decided on cookies.
3. Somehow through the mixing of ingredients, the camera switched off on its own, so we had to click to go back to that particular picture of the recipe.
4. Loisa reads out ingredients from picture 1.
5. Eileen reads out ingredients from picture 2.
6. Jielong reads out ingredients from picture 3.
End result--> The naming of the "product"
1. Cookies (initial product)
2. Pancakes (half way through the process, the cookies looked and tasted like plain pancakes)
3. Cupcakes (we decided to add flavor)
4. Muffins (we decided to add mass)
5. Scones (we realized they were too hard to be muffins)
So well erm, yyyeeeaaahh, we made scones. Don't ask. *lying through teeth* "We intended to make scones all along!!" Loisa proclaims to the world.
Ahhh and i realized I'm in love with jielong's mum! His dad is lucky and smart to have married her. She gave us dinner that night! We were sulking at the dining table, waiting for the SCONES to be ready so we could put chocolate on them, when she brought out some funny roti pancake dish thing, with mutton and gravy. One thing lead to another, and in the end, it was like a full meal!! Included were fish, some Indonesian vegetable (i don't know why jielong hates it), beans sprout, rice, crackers... We were smiling like idiots throughout the meal. Extremely happy kids we were!
MAMA MIA!
She's one cool super mum! She looks so young too! An absolutely sweet host! I will never understand how she can manage a whole family, help out at work, come home to make all these food, take care of husband and sons, a grandmother too... -faint- LOVE HER!!
THANK YOU AUNTIE!!! =)
Okay better not gush too much, or my own mum will be jealous!!

Well here you go!
This was after she has her bath, that's why she looks a little damp.

Before Grooming... awww the fluffed up Pebbles...

After Grooming... ??? pincher?? chihuahua? No it's Pebbles, the SCHNAUZER O-O"

But hey, she's one happy dog all the same! =)

The DMS monster strikes!
Pebbles has been maddening ever since she's got home from the clinic! The animal clinic, that is. She has a slight fever, a ear infection, and a skin rash. Such a difficult baby. -.-
So anyway, she was given medication. 2 kinds of liquid to squeeze into her ear, kinda like ear drops, another liquid to wipe her rashes plus a cream to sooth the itch, and the worst kind of medicine to give a dog, antibiotic tablets.
*tuning in the "Madness in the Koh Household"*
Reporting live from the Koh Household.
It is time for the dog's medication. The mother grabs the dog by its hindlegs and flips her upside down, like roti prata. Loisa tries to squeeze the antiseptic ear droplets into the dogs ears. Unsuccessful. Ear drops are everywhere BUT the dog's ears. Pebbles escapes and runs under the dining table to hide. Mother follows, and the scene depicted is of a lady crawling in between chairs and around the table to catch a slime ball of a dog who's trying to escape "torture". Meanwhile, i am trying to open the packet of cotton buds so i can swap her ears, but the packet's is a little too tight. Suddenly, mother knocks against a chair, the chair toples over, and knocks down the fan. The fan falls on me, and the shock causes me to tear the packet open, and cotton buds are raining down on us. The dog goes mad, trying to eat the cotton buds, while loisa and the mother are scrambling from the pelting buds.
So the dog is now chewing on 5 to 10 cotton buds, all sticking out of her mouth. The mother holds the dog down, while i squeeze the liquid into her ears. Now, it's the tricky part. I have to use more buds to swap the ear wax out of Pebble's ears. WHOA MAYDAY! Flying growling snapping dog on the loose!! Pebbles evidently hates things being stuffed into her ears, so well... imagine a dog with buds sticking out of her mouth, and a few more out of her ears. Definitely not attractive.
Half an hour later, one ear is done, another half hour later, the other is done as well! It's medication time. Easy, right? Since the dog eats anything and everything! WRONG. DEAD WRONG. Pebbles ate the pill, and spit it straight out. EWWW??! I pry open her mouth, and the pill comes shooting out like a bullet, OOOWWW!. It smacked me in the eye. It's worse than feeding a baby medication! Argh! In the end, i had to open the pill, pour the powder out and entice her with durian. YES DURIAN.
Arghh... maddening day...
