Trek part 3

Okay back to blogging out the trek. Sorry guys, i'll have to do point form now. There is simply no time to write in full complete sentences

We waded in a river to cross over to the other bank. For the other girls, the height of the wtaer was probably slightly below the waist. For me, it was either the chest, or in certain parts, the shoulders. Blah. I was soaking wet. Oh well

Everyone was assigned a partner to help then up the trek, and i... had no partner. -.- NVM i am superwoman, with muscles! So we climbed up slopes, walked on river beds, slipped on stones, climbed over tree trunks, slided on rocks with algae...swung from tree to tree... OKAY i was kidding with the last one, but there really was a part when we had to use a nylon rope to sort of abseil down this tiny cliff thing.

One of the girls in front of me, an ODAC girl, saw a leech on her leg and started screaming, then she fell. I panicked and knew i was supposed to tlak to her to calm her down or something, but i didn't know what to say to her! Argh, anyway, after that incident, i decided to continuously walk without stopping. Die die i wanted to keep on the move, cause i figured out that if i do that, leeches would not have the chance to jump on me!

Incident of the day: Jia zhen had THREE leeches on the same spot, and another one somewhere else! WOW! POWER WOMEN! Such a drama queen haha. I think they truied to burn the leeches off her or something, but in the process, she was burned a little, by the lighter. Poor girl. At least the burnt mark is no longer there... =)

Eileen and Jia Zhen yet again... Haha they look like shephered with those sticks. Useful stuff though.. Helped us along. It was like a third leg.

FINALLY we saw the waterfall. If i had the energy i could have jumped for joy, but my heart was jumping anyway. THEN WHAT?! That wasn't the end! Yes, we SAW th waterfall, but we didn't REACH it. GOODNESS i could have fainted right there... I was just looking up, up and up... wondering how on earth we were going to climb the boulders to reach the base of the waterfall sigh... For one moment there i thought we were climbing to the TOP of the waterfall but... nope. Whew! Anyway, sigh, boulders boulders boulders. Climb Climb Climb... I really felt like a spider. I was on all fours trying to find my footing, AND bearing, cause i was starting to get confused. My biggest fear was that one of the boulders would come loose and fall down on all of us. Thank you Lord for keeping me alive!

So well, Krystel, Stephanie and i were the first ones up there, so we decided to wait for Eileen and Jia Zhen.

In the mean time, we waded into the waterfalls. Halfway though, uhh i fell, and dragged everyone down with me, so we were all shivering and cold. Sebastian, one of the guys in my gorup, then cajoled us to go all the way in, since we were already wet. So we did, and spashed around wondering where eileen and jz were.

Eileen didn't want to go in, but jia zhen did! I swam back to the "shore" to "collect" her and at the same time grab a water bottle for Jean, one of my group leaders.

Somehow, jz and i spashed our way back to the girls, and within 5 minutes of jz's arrival, the girld wanted to swim back! Haha jia zhen was like "But i jsut got here!!" Therefore, we stayed a little while more. That was when we took pictures UNDER THE WATERFALL ITSELF! Cool eh? Too abd we haven't got those pictures yet. Sigh, must find the guy who used his waterproof camera lar...

Right it was time to get back to "shore". Steph and i followed louis while the rest swam back. Louis led us through some sort of funny path, and steph and i were lik -.- "??? What kind of way is this? Haha" As can be seen from this picture, i FELL -.-

Okay i was REALLY tired okay

By then, all of us were shivering lar. It was freezing cold! Gahhhh.... Time to go back! Sigh, going back down, back to our tents was one tough trek. To me, it was harder than going up. This time, i really needed a partner, and YAY louis was my knight! =) Haha i was so tired already; thus, more clumsy and had absolutely NO stability. Usually i fell, bringing louis down with me, or he fell, bringing me down with him!! -.- Haha a wonderful pair we make -.- Oh oh i nearly forgot! My group was the first one to go down, and it was my turn to carry the shared knapsack i had with jia zhen. Sigh i was a little afraid cause i was relaly scared about going down and the knapsack seemed to be hindering me. HALLEJUAH for jia zhen's partner! Ahhh more about him later! Muahahaha! For now, jsut take it that he offered to help me carry the knapsack, in addition to his own bag. BTW, he helped jz carry the bag on the way up too. Ahhhh =)

Okay blah blah blah fell down, got back up, fell down, slipped, got cuts, bruises, went back on track.... ... ... ... ... My group decided to take a funny route. Everyone used the dry root, which was the jungle terrain, but i don't know why my leader led us through the river bed -.- Oh well

Today was a rushy rushy kind of day. I woke feeling woozy, weird. Was wobbling everywhere. -.- miss wobbles. Anyway, my hp was ringing nonstop. There were so many messages! Haha all regarding the evaluations of other groups for Communications. Nightmare.

Rushed into class and realised oops, i was late. No matter, cuase the group i was evaluating is the second group, but then i had to evaluate the first group for eileen and stephanie. Felt like a little bumble bee. Haha somehow mondays are never good days. We're never on time. What can i say, it's a 9am class! And.... rekha was panicking too cause too had to evaluate a group. Hai ya, thsi evaluation thing is........... dot dot dot. Haha

Right, had english after communications class. Heard that johan had only an hour of sleep the day before. My, he's admirable! The fact that he could go to school so early (he was the first group who had to present in COM 101), WOW! I would have just continued sleeping at home and "heck care" the world. Haha oops. Okay, i FINALLY PRESENTED ON MY RESEARCH PAPER TOPIC! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

My stupid mindmap was so tiny, the font size i mean. I couldn't read anything, and i was shaking inside. I am SO not good at these public presentations stuff. Sigh...

Well the one good thing about today was that eileen and i managed to print out all our english info stuff, regarding the research paper. AHHHH feel so complete now. =) BUT no cause for celebration. WHY? I've only got the information! I have yet to do my draft of the paper! ANDDDDD There are THREE computer science assignments to hand up next week! Dying dying... Not to mention the psychology test coming up this thursday! PLUS the psychology PRESENTATION... SIGH... another presentation =( Do we have to wear ties?

Talking about psychology, gosh, my notes are everywhere! Literally! I just realised how many people have been photocopying my notes. Uhh i hope these people score. Haha if they don't, i'm so going to have a "hate club". Haha first it was jonathan, then johan, audrey, jadyn............. hmmmm...

What's the worst that could happen? They score, and i don't. Then i think i would kill myself. It's sec 2 all over again. Haha my lending of my literature textbook to timothy caused him to achieve the first position in literature, and i got a what.... 58/100 or something like that?? Haha rubbish. Oh well. I do hope i cna get a good B for psychology. Pretty disappointing, tis semester. I'm getting all Bs and Cs. Scary eh...

BUT i've got the greatest friends in SIM too! Cherie is so generous and didn't mind lending us her prison break vcds to burn. Sweet eh? She's no longer called "selfish", haha she's "selfless!" The problem is, we don't have burners. -.- Therefore, jane, my lady in shining black, came in! The poor girl's burning everything for us! Thanks you both! You're my princes who saved me from the wicked shamila! (is that her name? sha-mi-la)

Uhhh OOPS i've totally been lagging in my updates... I"m afraid my current "update" isn't very updated either. It's a continuation of the trek last last last......... week!

Oh before i forget...

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!! =) hahahaha

So the 5 of us boarded the lorry. Do not ask me what possessed us to sit on the lorry instead of a jeep, or whatever else they had. Mind you, the ride on the lorry is no ordinary ride. We don't sit IN the lorry, we sit ON the lorry. Literally. PLanks were nailed across the sides of the lorry, and we sat ON THE PLANKS. In case you didn't quite catch that, we sat ON THE PLANKS. Meaning.. ON THE PLANKS!!!!! We had nothing to hold, except the planks!!! Is that scary or what? We went up and down slopes, went SQUISH across HUGE puddles of muddy water, wnet boom boom BUMP over really ROCKY paths... sigh... haha our butts! No matter, only butts right? BUT the worse was yet to come. As we were going straight into jungle-like terrain, GOODNESS. The people sitting at the sides... Poor guys! There were branches and leaves swipping past them. It was so dangerous really. You could have either fell backwards off the lorry and rolled down, or you could have been knocked down by the hanging solid branch, or you could have been cut real bad by thorns. Poor Eileen, this bumble bee thing stung her on her head. One moment she was sitting next to me, the next moment she was yelling "Get it off Get it off VERY PAIN!" I was panicking lar. i saw it on her head and i actually thought i flicked it off, but it seems that it was stuck on her scalp. Poor girl, she was crying. I have no idea what that insect was. It was black with orange stripes. Anyone knows what it is? Sigh... Well at least she didn't blank out, or suffered from any i don't know, side effects of that sting. Except for a red lump, there was nothing much. What i was worried about was that that lump contained poison or something, and that if it was not treated soon, Eileen might be real sick later. She's okay now anyway, so i guess it's fine. =)

Well, we reached the campsite, an empty piece of land. Guess what? We were to set up our tents there. So uhhh heh, the guys kinda set up the tent. And we just kinda stood around. Haha i wanted to help, but there was just nothing to do. Felt a little bad though, cause later they set up the second tent, and gave us the first one. They did EVERYTHING. Like... Uhh feel a little useless? heh

Before we could do anything else, we were told to pack our day packs as the trek to to waterfall was immediate. Goodness panicked! Haha I whipped out my obscenely bright yellow pack, and started stuffing cereal inside together with louis (cute eh? he's nearly got the same name as me! He's this guy in my group too!). Haha well we were going to have our lunch there right? Therefore, we needed food! I shared the bag with jia zhen cause i thought it would be ridiculous to carry so many bags up there. Haha she was so cute! SHe brought along these water shoes thing that SUPPOSEDLY is so effective that water does not get in. Well this theory was SO proven wrong later. HAHAHA so off we went.

Sorry guys, it seems like this blogging of the trek will never end. Maybe i'll cut it short and write in point form the next time. I've got to go now. Need to study. This is a rare day when i am free to study "on my own". There is no homework or assignments due immediately, exlcusing CSE (comptuer science) that is. =) See ya

These group of able bodied girls embarked on a treacherous trekking trip to the Rainbow Falls and Bukit Paranoma in Malaysia. At Rainbow Falls, the highlight was duh, the waterfalls haha, as can be seen from the name itself. In Bukit Pranoma, it was the SUNRISE. -.- Yes, don't laugh, we trekked all the way up, to miss the sunrise. Haha right, here's the full juicy story from miss loisa koh. . . . .

Day 1 - 20th October 2006 (Friday)

JZ AND I WERE LATE! zoom zoom zoom! I waited for her at Jurong East Mrt station, an was hopping impatiently from one foot to another. SIGH haha it was coming 7pm, and that was the time we were supposed to be AT KRNJI MRT STATION! haha Grand entrance we made indeed, with out wild and erm moppie-like hair, and our blooming big knapsakcs, we rushed, no ran, towards the bunch of OutDoor Adventure Club peeps (ODAC). Riiight, we looked like we were participating in the amazing race or something, but hey, everyone else rpetty much looked the same! WAHAHAHA some had bags bigger than hours! *snickers* AND SOME, *hey steph!* had bags as small as a harversack/schoolbag. (you so want to strangle them eh?) Krystel was real early, and she was sitting there looking like an angel. Steph and eileen were lost on their way to Kranji, so we waited for them. No worries though, as there were others who were later! In fact, jz and i could be considered early. -.- hahahaha

So the trekking gang boarded bus 170 towards JB, but as luck would have it, it was jammed. We fell out of the bus, literally, as we were still unused to the big bags, and struggled throughout the causeway... ON FOOT! It was my first time WALKING to JB, so it was kinda cool. ONe thing i loved about this trip was the experience gained.

1) the jungle like-ness of it all
2) the trekking
3) the traditional way of going into JB (walking, stumbling trhough the crowds)

etc.

At the customs, it was ridiculous. Our Singapore customs officer sure had loads of comments for us. He told Krystel to open "her curtain" (hair) as she looked very difference form her passport photo, told jz all about the departure form, and called me "boy boy". The ultimate was the Malysian side, when the guy told me "10 year old little girls shouldn't be travelling without their mothers". Wah i nearly snapped! I furiously turned to my date of birth and wordlessly stuffed it into his face. See it for yourself, you big meanie!

ps: Passport covers were amusing! Mine was normal, thank goodness, krystel's had a very nice sunshine on it, but jz... hmm, it needs further elaboration. She's disney kid! A hello kitty passport cover, mickey mouse wallet, and... a tweetybird plaster! (ahem.. haha)

Well we took bus 170 yet again to Larkin bus station, in Malaysia, and stopped at Marybrown's to eat. Sigh, that was when i found out my malaysian one rinngit-s were expired. I tired to use them to pay for my iced milo and the cashier went "These are expired already!" How embarrassing was that?! Sigh...

Right, onwards, march march march, to the coach we hired! ARGHHH a 6 hours bus ride! I could have died in there. We were rushing to put our bags at the back, so i took out only my windbreaker (GB's one), and left everything else! Thankgoodness Jia zhen brought her MP3 player along to entertain us. We listened to quite a few songs, so wasn't so sick on the bus. After a while, was a bit tired already, so went to sleep. I mean come on, it was like 2 plus in the morning? Haha our body clock went so wrong... Krystel sat with another guy in our group, and i felt a little cause she was alone. Anyway, i think it was better for her to sit there in the end, cause jz and i were a little uncomfortable in our seats. We were as good as stuck! Nevermind, we'll leave it as that.

FINALLY the bus had a rest stop. We all got off to pee, and pee, and peeeeeeee..... Everyone were so zombieliked and cold. So off we trooped to the coffee shop to get our hot milo. Before the milo could even arrive, the whole lot were back boarding the bus already. We were like "WHAT?!" *panicks* I was trying to gorge down my milo as quickly as posisble but it was so SO scorching hot!! Actually, i wanted to finish the whole cup, but since the girls were so fast in drinking, i decided to forgo the lasy half of my milo. =) Was quite sad. Haha, all the way to the bus i was literally thinking longingly of that half filled cup of MILO.

Well back to the bus.. sigh... back to our seats... sigh... back on the road... sigh... back to sleep... sigh...

ARRIVAL! SQ...

Okay so not so high class. Just the arrival of a very normal coach at Sungei Lembing! We packed our daypacks, AND GOT TO BRUSH OUR TEETH! Haha, a very rare thing down there... After that, the interesting part comes...

Well well well...

I got back my CSE (computer science) grade today! Just realised something, peopel are never ever contented with what they have. I mean, how much can we improve in such a short period of time right? Not to worry, i'm not pointing fingers at anyone, only at myself really haha. You see, i failed my first BASIC computer science test 2 weeks back, perhaps? I had 5/10, but in SIM, that ain't the passing mark. The passing mark is 60 %. Annoying right? haha Such high standards.

Anyway, this time round, for the mid terms, HEY i passed!!! BUT i got a C grade, i think. 25/40. I know i passed, but i dare not calculate the actual grade. It could be a C-, or a D, but whatever, i don't really want to know. Initially i was so ultra excited, SUPER happy, cause i thought " OEI LOISA KOH MEI SHI! You passed girl! You're the genius of the world! SUPERGIRL!" hahahaha yeah narcissist i know haha, but give me some credit here, i IMPROVED. That is the important thing right? Always improving, that's the best anyone can hope for.

Yet... After a while, i began to feel... sore? I don't know, like hey, why couldn't i have got better? Oh, but what the heck, i'll do better for the finals eh? As long as i improve, i'm the luckiest girl on the planet!

I'm dying... from the haze. It's killing me. If i don't contract kidney failure from the high amount of carbon dioxide in the air, i'll suffer from respiritory problems due to the sulphur dioxide. Haha okay exaggerating here a little... but seriously, the psi level is at an unhealthy level already. The healthy level should be 100, and although it did drop form 150 to 140, it's still unhealthy!!

BRING OUT THE MASKS PEOPLE! 1997 is BACK!

Riiight, being dramatic here...

Anyway, on just don't open your windows and doors too much okay? It's very choking... I'm thirsty, i'm hot, and i'm uncomfortable, but somehow it makes me work faster and better. Now that the haze has cleared up a little, i seem to be more laggy... oh well.

Gotta run, literally. My dog's screaming for me. She's horrible lar. This morning she wanted to watch tv, so i turned the channel to "beyblade" on kids central for her. Not quite sure why, but she loves that show. -.- Don't ask. AND NOW, she wants to go for a walk. Siiighhhhh

I kinda came up with this on the spot after reading the previous post in an email i received. Haha it ain't too good, it is after all, just a small lil poetry of a thing. HEY i am an amateur okay! haha i had a little trouble with the second last stanza. couldn't seem to rhyme it. AND i can't decide which one to use for the lazy stanza. the "or" part sounds nicer, of course, but i kinda like the other one put there. haha oh well. It is for the Lord, so wh cares? It's what in the heart, that is true. Right? haha =)

The game was tight. Archrivals had faced off for three and a half periods in a seesaw battle that was going down to the wire. As the clock ticked down, the two sides traded the lead back and forth. Neither could be assured of victory because with the game so close, anything could happen. From the sideline, the coach watched his team getting more and more apprehensive as the seconds ticked away. They were missing shots they never missed. They were missing opportunities they didn't miss. Even their body language said, "This is bad. We might lose this one."

With less than a minute left, the coach called a time out. Now he knew that every girl on that court had been over the plays a million times. They didn't need elaborate help to set up a play for a last second win. They needed to calm down and play the way they knew how to play. So when they bent into that huddle, the coach told them something more than a little unconventional. "Go out there. Play the game. Have fun. Do your best, and I'll win it for you."
No pressure instructions. No you have to win this or we lose to our rivals. No anxiety-inducing strategy. Simply, "Go play, and I'll win it for you."

To my way of thinking, that was an audacious statement because in reality, it wouldn't be the coach taking the shot that would win or lose the game. He would be standing on the sideline with no direct control whatsoever. However, this coach knew something about the training these girls had been through, and he knew without a doubt they could do it. The problem was they didn't know they could do it, and so, he let them rely not on themselves for the win but on him.

The amazing thing to me when I really started thinking about this statement is that what that coach told his team is exactly what Jesus tells each one of us: "Go out there. Play the game. Have fun. Do your best, and I'll win it for you."

"Play the game. Have fun."

We think it's all on us-that we have to get everything right, do everything perfectly, or our "win" will never materialize. In fact, we get sucked into this mentality that Heaven may be just out of our reach no matter what we do. However, I think the reality is that Jesus is the coach standing on the sideline having full faith that we can do everything He's trained us to do. We can love just like He's shown us. We can give; we can live-not because we can do it on our own but because He's right there, and He has faith that we have been given everything we need to win through Him.

I'm sure you know the end of the story. When the buzzer sounded, the team who had just gone out, had fun, and done their best was victorious.]

One day the final buzzer of your life will sound, and the question at that moment will be this: Did you allow Jesus to be your coach? Did you have faith that He would win the game for you-or are you still trying to win it yourself? It's a question worth contemplating.

Right, it is now 1am in the morning. argh! The last few days have been REALLY hectic. Never realised how fast-paced life can be. I though the worst was over after O levels, and then after the choosing of schools. Now this... -.- It's always going faster and faster eh? Like those dizzy tea cups you sit on at amusement parks. All they do is go round and round and roun, sometime sideways, then roung again, til you get so sick and tired, you start to walk funny. Yeah, haha i've been walking real funny nowadays, with my legs bowed inward.

I wasted a whole lot of time on wednesday night. Apparently, so did jia zhen. Haha we sure make a lot of boos boos, it's no wonder we get HYSTERICAL every now and then. We actually typed out our history )UGC) stuff, VERY nciely, and we were nearly completing the thing too, when.. we realised we were doing the wrong assignment. Instead of the week 5's homework, we were happily typing away week 4!! GRAHHHHH... After that, i think i usd up too much of my brain cells or something, i couldn't seem to understand what the heck i was typing for the REAL homework. Kenneth was grumbling away with me haha. We were both lost in the "light", we were so NOT "enlightened". Reading about plato, aristotle, daoism... i felt lke i was the one chained and in a cave, partly due the fact that my eyes were closing. Jia zhen completed hers so fast lar. So i stayed on the computer til...3 plus? Couldn't take it anymore and panicked, asking jonathan and gary to wake me up. Jon because he wakes up at 5.45am anyway, and gary cause, haha he was the only one alive on msn at that point of time.

5.45am. Jon called. I think i went back to sleep, cause gary woke me up again at 6am. Sigh, stupid homework. This is the first time in my entire life waking up in the morning to do homework can. NEVER before have i bothered to decrease my sleep in the mornings for school stuff. I sleep late, yes, but i NEVER EVER wake up early. And i obviously do not intend to again, cuase in school, boy was it nuts. I was falling asleep everywhere, and i actually fell asleep on the floor before UGC class started. Disugsting.

Then again, UGC has been giving everyone nightmares. Everyone has been asking and talking to me about that silly assignment. Let's count...

Gracelyn, Kenneth, Jia zhen, Jonathan, Cherie, Jocelyn, Eileen, Elizabeth... Did i miss anyone out? Ah well 8 then... SEE? Poor us haha *wallowing in self-pity*

I found this small snippet of a piece of paper in my bible today. It made me reflect quite a bit actually

Hmm inspirational eh? Made me realise that my sole purpose on earth, and everyone else's i guess, is to glorify the Lord, win more souls, and bless everyone around me.

I shall try to do that, but i of course will stray halfway and therefore, i say a little prayer for the Lord to give me strength and faith to carry on.

On to a few jokes i read in an email. Pretty hilarious haha. I couldn't stop laughing.

funny. how come my blog's layout changed on its own? Hmm, looks like my very own website has a mind of its own. Creepy.

Anyway, i'm feeling quite proud of myself. I managed to conquer my frustrations and not go mad. I was on the verge of pulling out all my hair just now though, ha, that must be the reason why i looked so flustered and sick when i got in SIM. At least, that's what steph and jocelyn said.

I was trying to do a little on my CSE 111 project. I'm required to do up some html thing, my own website or something like that.

BUT

My silly notepad programme cannot save in html format. My MS word has hidden codes which automatically implant themselves into my already painfully typed codes, so my website comes out funny. AND i do not have microsoft office or front page, which can be used to view html stuff.

Wonderful eh? I had 29 copies of html codes saved in text format, and 29 similar ones saved in html format. Both formats did not work. SO in total, i typed 58 files worth of rubbish. Such a waste of my time, effort, and eyesight. It's no wonder i'm getting a headache now. Jocelyn was sweet though. She offered to help me. And i love my cherie too! She told me i could type my stuff out in notepad, and send it to her so she can help me save it in html format. However, i'm thinking of tryign to download my own MS office/front page thing. I don't want to bother her too much. We're all like super stressed here already.

Sheesh, assignment after assignment after project after project keeps pilling up. I'm not scoring fantastically for my tests too. I merely passed for my "world civilisation" and english tests, and i FAILED my first computer test can. See? I told you technology and loisa are just not meant to be. Oh well. I'm going to really try my best, at least i will not have any regrets. All the other things i can't do, God will help me do. =)

AHA another headache. The communications objectivity project. Sigh, i've been tryign to find articles but my silly computer can't get into any nice websites. It keeps going error error, and disconnecting itself. What is going wrong?

*PIAK* smacks a fly. This annoying fly keeps flying into my face. What the heck is wrong with it? I need one of those electronic rackets which can kill flies with just one swip, but then again, that's cruelty. Sigh...

Hmmm, i think i'm goign to be sick. I keep coughing and sniffing. Grah...

Lately i've been ever so tired, and gosh i have like TONS of assignments now, so people, don't talk to me in long sentences or i'll get blur and go nuts on you!

It didn't really hit me, til now.

Yesterday i read on audrey and shawn's blogs that a certain samuel tan passed away. He's a junior in BB. All the while that i have been working with BB, it's always with amos, or tinsley, or someone from my year. So, i didn't feel the impact as much. I was never good with names anyway.

Then

As i was flipping through the papers today, i came across the orbituary, and i went oh shiat, samuel! He's only 16 years old, and he hasn't even done his O levels yet. I saw his picture there, his handsome strong face, and oh no... It brings me back to think why i never... whatever, the words aren't coming out of my mouth.

I used to see him in church, and he's always with his parents and brother. Whenever there are bibles, cds, or vcds to be sold, he's the one who take money from his mum and runs down to get them. Even though we don't know each other like super personally, i used to play face games with him, in church. We knew each other existed, i knew he was the Head of BB, he knew i was the Head of GB, we knew we were there in church, but we pretended not to recognise each other. One week he nodded at me, i smiled at him, he smiled back at me, i nodded back at him, and it continued for the next few weeks. Our families sat together during one service, and we were making faces at each other throughout the sermon. Oops, yes, hut.. argh...

Shoot. i Passed him a little bit of my secondary school notes too, when i met him once along the corridor. Same subject, and he asked for it.

I wish i had never marked him down. Numerous times, when i was in sec 3, and he, in sec 2, i used to book him. I was a councillor and was part of the recess duty team. He was always such a rascal, staying back in class so late. Gah

I don't know, suddenly everything's so.. wrong? without him? Nevermind, all said, he's best known for his leadership skills, and i've always somewhat admired him from afar, cause he seemed so cool with his red sash and BB uniform, giving out commands wiht no effort, and everyone listened, you know?

Right, i don't know what point i'm trying to make here. I guess it's jsut so sudden and i'll miss him, somewhat.

Ps. Stay away from mosquitos. Dengue fever can take lives away very very very fast. =(

Is it just me or is MSN not working? Haha right, it's not working. Angel just told me.

Oh well good, then it is not a distraction. I can slowly cut down on my silly profile, which by the way, is now 17 pages!! I'm always doing things like that. I have so much trouble trying to write it out, and then all of a sudden, everything comes pouring out. The maximum is 5 pages. Nice, 17 pages, hallejuah. I don't even know what to cut out now lar. Well, at least jonathan has 8 pages; thus, i can cut mine down to around 10? It'll be a miracle if i can do it to 5. If so, everyone owes me an ice cream. Haha oops, greedy me...

OH OH! Cherie was ubberly sweet today. Oh gosh so touching, i was like sniffing away at home when i opened her little gift to me. Awww, it's a key chain! THANK YOU THANK YOU a thousand times! =) On it, it read "smart, pretty and kind".

I'M PRETTY! *making a big announcement here* Right rubbish. Anyway, i didn't kow i was smart and kind. Haha, it may or may not be true, but it's nice to think someone thinks so eh? I hope to be that though! haha =)

I just realised my shorts has a big hole at the backside area. Right, i either sat on something sharp and pulled really hard so my shorts tore, or my dog bit it. I'm thinking the latter. Haha okay, that was a bit random. Nevermind.

Oh yeah Oh yeah! It was a really hectic day today. Will not kill you wiht the details. Basically, eileen, jonathan and i rushed from school to the NEW bishan library and back again, to borrow books for our research paper. Talking about that, i am now haivng trouble wiht my research topic, question, AND thesis. Haha in other words, the entire thing. Haha

Oh and oh the way there, jonathan gave me his phone card! So cool! I've been collecting phone cards way back in primary school. I obviously stopped in secondary school cause i was too lazy, but his was nice. It's the scenery of a river. Really pretty. =)

An interesting incident happened to christine today too. But it's a little embarrassing so we'll leave it at that. jane helped me with my phone too. She's so nice, i love her!! =) Jia zhen sent me some MP3 songs, and AHEM, the pirates of the Caribbean theme song! =)

Can you just tell i need so much help in my daily life? Sad eh? I vow to be independant as soon as possible.

thoughts for the day

hmmm i've just realised what a complete, uptight airhead i've been.

haha "complete" is from my neighbour (i've got to find out his name. he's my neighbour and we don't know each other's names -.- ), "uptight" is from jonathan, "airhead" is from myself.

I'm a striver, i think. THINK. Strivers tend to strive, and therefore, " hai zi ji", stress themselves out. When i push myself too much, i feel the pinch, and thnn i can't do things up to my own expectations. In fact, sometimes, i do worst than my usual standard. That's for the "uptight" part of course.

*i'm philoso-phying here, so if you get bored, skip this entire thing =)*

On to the airhead. I read cherie's post, and hmm, "spare"... hmmm... I'm doing all those work like crazy, and then i freely distribute my work out when people ask me "how to do". Kinda dumb on my part eh? I should be teaching them, not spoon feeding them, especially with MY work too. Hmm just a thought. No offense to anyone. =)

Back to the word "complete". I can't believe i'm even thinking about these stuff! Haha, let alone allowing myself to feel funny! Dumb eh. I'm supposed to be this care-free, simple minded girl who loves everyone, and now i suddenly feel... used? NAH

She's been an angel to me.=, and i truly thank the Lord for blessing me with a wonderful friend.

She was so sweet can... sweet as honey haha. On wednesday, we had communications lesson, and she saved a seat for me!! Awwww right, she's porbably diaoing me now as she reads this... She shared gummies with us too! Haha told ya, the way to loisa's heart is through her stomach. Heh heh

Oh oh and she even passed me a piece of paper with handphone deals! Haha i was discussing with ehr the day before about my changing my handphone, since it's so pathetic already... And she just helped me along... geee

WAIT! The best thing? She was my pillar of strength last night! I was ready to faint on teh spot while doing my profile for english, and she took the time to scan, reformat and send her notes to me. We have different handouts you see, and hers are quite useful. A total angel, isn't she? A God-sent angel, to me.

Right-ho! I was total stone dead today in school, and i can say the same for at least half of the UB students! Haha, for me, and eileen, elizabeth and jonathan, we stayed up really late last night to complete our english profiles plus UGC assignments. We nearly died... Ha no make that did die in school. I couldn't even open my eyes. For the rest, they went to this club party last night, and were therefore "wasted" and totally gonged out.

English class was first, and we edited each others essays. Unfortunately, my essay couldn't be edited cuase the editor, was out. Again, the word "wasted". Sigh... ah well... I liked eileen and johan's profiles... really nice =) Charles' one wasn't too bad either, but jon's... uhh too political lar arh... haha "Mahatir bin Mohamad"... Sorry, i wouldn't read up on him, though jon did write pretty well.

Later, we gate crashed into the critical thinking class. It's supposed to make you smarter... haha yeah right. Jane, christine and samuel were there so well... hee. Initially, i tired following the thought processes of the critical thinking lesson, but halfway i was lost, and i just got more tired and fed up, so i gave up and half slept, half read my UGC book. Jon drew a picture but i guess he tore it up, that idiot... haha nah...

Aha UGC time! Met jia zhen and kenneth there. Krystel didn't go, perhaps she was tired too. We received our last papers and i got a check! It's the middle grade, equivalent to a B. Awww, i didn't get a check +, which is an A, but well, first attempt, good enough! =) It seemed that the previous gang had gonw to a taiwan restaurant in bukit timah to have lunch, so they ta pao-ed for us. Ummmmm not bad.. not bad at all =) SLIGHTLY blend, but i enjoyed it nonetheless... IT WAS SPICY!!!! Haha was exploding towards the end, had to steal everyone's ice... sigh...

Whew finally, psychology. Last lesson for the day. I was truly falling asleep by then and everythign was one ear in, one ear out. No, it should be nothing in, everything out. It's no wonder my brain is total emptiness right now. Oops i nearly forgot a very important thing. Jia zhen brought banana chips for us today! haha yummmm.... talking about YUMMY stuff, jane bought tis hazelnut coffe latte thing from megabites. I've got to get myself one of those! OOOOO

I'm feeling... stressed... depressed... opressed... supressed... pressed... for time! Haha right, i am so crapping.

I have a psychological problem, and that is... i think i'm biased against ESL 408. I have this ridiculous fear of nina's class, not becasue of nina, but by the requirements of the class. I'm spending an obscene amount of time researching for the english research paper, AND the silly profile of... a telephone/internet. The thing is, it's not due yet. What my first priority should be is the conputer studies quiz coming up on monday (which is rubbish! i don't know WHAT to study and i don't even have the book), and the psychology test on tuesday (and there's A LOT to study for that!) Clemmy arh clemence, why did you have to initiate the change of the quiz date? Sigh nevermind, we'll get it over and done with yeah? =)

Well well well, today was argh a TIRING day. I was dead beat last night, researching for the english profile cum research paper thing, plus typing up the world civilizations paper. AND talking to jia zhen on the net... and shoot did i talk a whole lot of rubbish! sigh... We were actually SUPPOSED to be discussing about the UGC paper, and the question is "Why might early civilizations have been more likely to evolve in river valleys with flood plains than in other geographical regions?" Here is what i nonsensically came up with...

NVM. Poor jia zhen, she was porbably lost and ready to hit my head or something.

Anyway, rushed to school in the morning, and it was RAINING ever so ehavily! Wore slippers and everything was wet. Sigh, morning classes are never good. I walked into class a minute late, and very few people were there. -.- You know why? Raining = accidents = traffic jams = late. hahaha Jonathan was there already though, that early bugger, with his argh, long LONG long LONG HUGE umbrella! So uncle... haha oops. He was sitting at one end, and i saw at the other end, attempting to save a seat for eileen. But jon shifted up next to me, so i left a seat on the other side for eileen, THEN someone else sat in that seat, so poor eileen had no seat! I'm very bad at saving seats... sigh...

After english, eileen and elizabeth went off to orchard, pang sehing jonathan and me lar. So both of us headed up to the student lounge to STUDY. Right, obviously we didn't do much studying, cause we were talking! We went on... and on... and on... and on... about 307... that's the name of our church, ex-church rather, (speaking of the devil... jon just talked to me. Everytime i blog about a person, that person will call/sms/or something me. It happened with angel and jz too... EERIE) and we just well yeah... Had some catching up session or something. UGC TIME! We headed off for class, and met indra. AHHH Jia zhen's was going to be late! I saved a seat for krystel and her, but krystel's seat was taken up. Then kenneth sat on the seat reserved for jz. Haha he's cute lar. Moral of the story, either do not ask me to save a seat for you, or i must remember to place my bag + water bottle + file + everything else on that table AND chair. Haha kia-su-ism. =)

Right, end of ugc. We headed to the canteen to... meet jia zhen's mum! Haha she's adorable!! Really friendly lady, and AHEM *feeling thick skinned* i conversed with her in CHINESE. Jz said my chinese wasn't so bad! OOO YEAH hahahahaha heh. So well the guys had lunch, jz and i...stoned. We were contemplating whether or not to have some dessert thing at clementi but decided against it later on. Oh, we did have ice cream later on though! Haha madness. It was raining and cold, yet we had ice cream. -.- Freeze ourselves to death.

Had psychology and YAY it was the last class. Missed cherie there =( Well we did this reflection thing and sigh, the lectuerer is SMART! She made us find out the answers on our own, so we would remember the stuff better. Eileen and i were talking about how tired we always are during school, but the minute we are home, we're wide awake. Haha i told her "maybe it's psychological!". Haha i've become a psychologist. Yeah right.

Went home, had dinner, fell straight asleep, and woke up around 9.30pm. Sigh... Waste of time. Did some research for our profiles and research paper, then had A LOT of fun with jz on the net! She installed this webcam thing and a microphone. HAHA ridiculous! Most of the time, she wasn't saying or typing anything she was just laughing...and laughing...and laughing...

and laughing. I didn't even know what was going on, and she was making all these funny faces into the webcam. Oh, she then told me that she could hear the song i was playing on the computer, and that got me all excited because i thought i had a microphone somewhere. HA RIGHT! All becasue of that, i looked so dumb, crawling up and down my chair, trying to find the microphone. I went "testing testing, hello? JIA ZHEN! Can you hear anything? HELLO?!" into the cpu, modem, wires, speakers, whatever i could find. Well, it turned out that i DON'T have a microphone, and i was basically talking to nothing at all. We realised that jz could only hear whatever went on IN the speakers. Blah. Haha

Yup, i'm so gonna get a microphone and webcam when i've saved up enough money! =)

Haha typical school day, but this semester ain't so fun anymore! =( It's work work work now! Right here's how my day went...

Rushed for school as as usual, i reached the bus stop JUST when bus 74 left. -.- Thus, i caught a cab with kokila and megan i think... Haha It's about the same price really, after dividing everything. =) We were early then! Wahahahaha I sat with the girls at our little funny corner, and jonathan joined us today! He's funny you know. He's neither in nor out of our gang. He WANTS to come in, i think, and he's WELCOMED in, but sometimes he seems to OUT himself, hmmmm, what's the word? Not much INITIATIVE maybe? No idea oh well. Anyway, today's wednesday, sooo guess what? YEAH haha jia zhen's dress up day! Oh how i love wednesdays =)

I was sitting next to cherie and jonathan during COM 101 and HAHAHA it was hilarious! Thoughout the lecture, cherie was constantly giving that "DIAO" look adn she's so cute! Haha her facial expression arh, it's truly very comical! Hahaha but then again, the lecture is really...rubbish and totally ineffective. She has given us an assignment to do which should be started on as soon as possible, so we should have our notes and stuff already right? NOOOOO, we don't. She'll only be giving them to us NEXT MONDAY. Meanwhile, she RUSHED through her powerpoint presentation like a bullet train, so how are we supposed to copy anything? She's truly.... good......................

After that, everything was basically a blur. We rushed through lunch, cause the girls who were having english later had only a half hour to eat. Miserable eh? Poor things, so once when they were gone, i miserably walked up to the student lounge to STUDY... and READ... and DO... my UGC homework. I had borrowed the book from timothy, so i was planning to finish everythign today so i could return it back to him. However, before i could read a single word, along came valarie, kenneth, scott, with his LAPTOP. Gone with the wind, went any thought of studying. Ken and i tried, haha but well, nvm. We landed up watching cool stuff on scott's "lappie", something like dominoes, except with more cool eqipment, everyday stuff really, such as rulers, books etc.

Yay finally the girls came back, and off they went AGAIN to purchase the world history (UGC) book. Sigh, val, ken and scott went off, but loisa will never be alone, haha cause along came jonathan! I was listening to his music and was extremely relaxed, thinking class starts at 4pm. ALAMAK, it starts at 3pm! Wah seh, 2.59pm, jon and i were rushing all the way up to the computer labs! Haha, very out of breath after that.

Wow talking about our computer studies course (CSE 111), it is RETARDED okay. Totally crap. AND WE'RE PAYING 7,000 BUCKS FOR THIS! Do you know what we had to do? Learn from a book. -.- Follow the instructions from there. First of all, the computer didn't even have microsoft excel 2003, so we had to download it. Ridiculous right? After getting it, we basically had to type in our names and hand it up. All of us were like.....WHAT?! Haha it sounds easy right, but ONLY if you have the book. The whole gorup of us didn't, so we were like.. stuck. Thank goodness for fidarus. Haha he's a helpful guy, BUT i wouldn't have survived without my dear cherie too! Gosh i love her so much! Haha, i would have been blur regarding the downloading part, cause really, i hate saving, unzipping, or downloading stuff from computers whcih are not my own, otherwise i'll never find the stuff again. I wouldn't know where i saved them! Okay end of school whew!

Jonathan paired up with akira for the COM 101 thing. Now, the two guys have partners! Yay haha! Eileen was going to bugis so she followed me all the way to dover. Yeah, that's about it i guess... Sigh i'm still deciding whether or not to go for the esther squad outing, a bbq at jolene's place. I can make it, but it's a little late, and i will be very tired. AND of course, it's FAR, so for me to get home, i'll have to leave at like what, 9pm? I'll probably only reach there at 7.30-8pm? -.- For me to stay only an hour, a bit ridiculous eh? Well we'll see =)

WOW long TIRING day today. Haha first day of school for semester 2! I think we were all in a sluggish mood so we weren't concentrating that well. Woke up really early in the morning to go to argh school at 9am! *ROARRR*

Right, i met audrey, gracelynn and akimi at the bus stop. haha those two were in a world of their own yet again. Haha so cute. Anyway was grumbling away with akimi about the timetable, and sleepiness, haha well we are like old aunties. Always complaining and nagging. Oops. Well here's the deal, our timetable is like ridiculous to the core lar. All right, so mine isn't so bad, but others have really nonsensically long brekas, ranging fom 2.5 hours to 6 hours. What on earth are these poor people going to do? We are all ready to pretoest against the timetable i think, haha. -.- "away with the timetable, away with the timetable!" Yeah right...

Anyway, Com 101 was the first lesson and i think we all nearly died there. First of all, the teacher herself was late. I repeat, LATE, for around 15 minutes? AND THEN, the way she takes attendance WHOA, can die. Jane was saying "If she reads out every sngle name on that attendance list, i'll laugh." Immediately after, the lecturer did. We couldn't stop laughing, nearly to the extent of snorting. (The snorting part came during break, will tell you more about that later.) I don't think we learnt anything from that class, aside form copying the definition of "communication" straight out form the textbook. We did learn of our first assignment though. Sounds interesting; interview companies regarding their public relations campaigns. Hmmm... JZ's my buddy, so i hope we do all right =)

It was english after that and oh my goodness, so many different people were wakinginto our english class! Eileen adn i expected not to know a single soul, but due to all the transferring of subjects, suddenly, we seemed to know the whole class. Haha from the original A class, there's eileen, sunnaline, hermangi, vicky, jonathan, and myself! YAY we're cool! =) and so's our new english teacher, though i still love gaylene the most. Our new facilitator is Nina Vsomething... It's so difficult to pronounce and remember that nina herself told us to forget about it. Haha. Well i'm pretty intimidated by the workloard of this module. The last english module was rellly easy, REALLY REALLY easy. However this one... oh dear.. RESEARCH papers?! oh dear dear me.. =(

Lunch was after that, and i was STARVING. I was so hungry i think i was dying haha. Finally finding the girls half dead on the bench near teh canteen, eileen and i went off to get food plus drinks. Elizabeth, akira, ramond, krystel and ie ting joined us later. Then kenneth, jonathan and kai came over. Haha there was no longer space to sit. The poor guys had to stand, aww too bad . Heh. We talked, adn talked...... and talked.... from 12.30 all the way to 3pm. Haha sian right, but we laughed a lot too! Add yawning into that list. Most of it was done by me though, i was so ultra tired! We discussed cockroach eaters *uhh*, cockroach eggs, CPUs, umm common topic ELIZABETH *hahahahaha* and... the double date *sniggers*. All right all right, i will not be so mean. Right, shush! I'm probably implicating myself too. Sigh... JZ: Poor us... Haha

ARGH! 3pm! Off we went for COMPUTER STUDIES. Haha Angel called me then, but aww, our timings never do match. I couldn't talk to her for class was starting already, and talking about class, WHOA our teacher is INSANE! He acts so stern, and then he goes WOOO *hard gay*? Yeah.. crazy fella. Haha but he's good alr, cause even though we feel like sleeping, he'll suddenly give this high pitched of a shriek and that will wake up into consciousness again. Haha, adn teh funny part was he was teaching us all about the RAM! I was going -.- -.- but uhh kenneth, i still need your help! A LOT of your help! I can't do it on my own! I'm still new to this! Or is jonathan the one helping me? Gosh i'm hopeless, but anyway eeyore's been really really sweet. Although he drives me up the wall with his

"sweets dream....... (i know you would be dreaming of prince charming tonight ...... tell Jonathan abt it ok ??)"

wah really felt like decking him, yet he's a real helpful fella who doesn't midn going the extra mile helping you out. Sometimes i wonder if i'm taking up too much of his time, but if i am, i think he will tell me, right? At least i hope he would and not be so nice to help and help and help til one day he bursts... Hmm quite a few "knights in shining armour" in UB huh... haha okay crapping again...

Walked to the bus stop with jia zhen, elizabeth and jonathan, then halfway jon stopped and we continued. However, i forgot i was still holding his hp, and wah lao, i would have gone straight home with it if jz hadn't reminded me! Thanks girl! So i ruan up the overhead bridge again to pass it to him, and that joker was actually just talking to kenneth and then crossing over to take teh same bus as me! Wah nearly strangled him. Made me run so much, and THEN? We missed out bus. -.- Jz and liz's bus came first so up they went. Haha i was contemplating whether or not to take the same bus, but then i'd have to take the train too. Nah, ridiculous.

OOO i've so gotta gush about jonathan's drawings! They're so pretty! Like like.. real drawings!! I'm surrounded by artists! There's angel, emily, samantha, raquel, ben, jane, jia zhen, and now jonathan too? Have i missed anyone out? Man i feel dumb haha, drawing dylexia. Gosh i don't know why he says they aren't nice. They're LOVELY! Haha up they go onto my wall, together with angel, sam and ben's drawings for me. Who else wants to draw for ME? Hahahaha right, i'm high...

Oh oh, there's this guy who added me on MSN, and this joker suddenly said,

"Hi, I am William, your classmate? I am looking for a lover or Sugarbabe for long term becos I want to enjoy safe sex...... mind to chat?"

I went MAD okay, i was PISSED! Suddenly everyone's going mad on me, and in the first place, who on earth is WILLIAM?! I was so fed up i went back to my old habit of tearing tissue paper, and i only do that when i'm really really sad or angry. Geez, i totally lost my cool today. I can't do that again. very bad louie, VERY bad.

BUT... now i'm happy again =)

Incidents this week (Bad bad devil doing bad bad business)
1) Auntie Verni was involved in an accident and twisted her neck
2) Daddy fell while jogging and grazed his face and body pretty badly, leaving a few ugly scars
3) Mummy was involved in an accident, and the car was banged up real bad. A motorcyclist lost control and hit the boot. He suffered from deep cuts.
4) Pebbles miscarriaged and has a lot of skin problems.
5) Kong kong landed up in hospital
6) My music exam FEELS terrible

Blessings this week (Good good God at work)
1) At least auntie verni didn't fracture her spine or something
2) Well, no stitches, how about that? Not too bad, considering his age =)
3) The car looks bad lar, but mummy's all right, YAY! The pillion rider on the motorcycle only had a few bruises, ain't so bad.
4) Oh erm, pebbles wouldn't have to go through the labour pains
5) Hmmm, kong kong isn't as bad as mama, he doesn't have tubes stuck in him everywhere, so the Lord is taking care of him too, right?
6) Eh i haven't received my results yet, so there's always hope! =)

Right, so well, i've been praying for my family, and everyone else... i believe prayer works right? Someone please say yes, cause sometimes it is hard to hold on to faith.

I'm really REALLY pleased with music and math. Thanks jia zhen, kenneth, and jonathan too, for helping me out with math. I love you guys, i truly do! Economics is satisfactory, i dare not set too high a goal cause well, the subject is new to me, so not bad loisa! I'm just a tinge disappointed with english, i so very much wanted an A, and i cna't seem to find out where i went wrong. Aww nvm

Oo ooo a piece of good nice news! I'm going to increase my computer ram! Haha okay, doesn't sound very exciting right, but oh it'll make my computer all better =) Best thing is, kenneth's going to help me, so i don't have to worry about killing my computer before it has even been fixed. Yay he's my hero, my knight in shining armour... -.- haha all right, i'll shut my gap now.

today is.... MISS GAN and JEREMY's birthdays! =) Happy birthday people, i love you guys... =)

anyway, i've been feeling really lazy these days. I don't feel like blogging, it's to..tiring. ALL RIGHT ALL RIGHT, i'm a lazy wormy kid... HAHA

I've just received an email from a certain guy regarding PESA (plain english speaking award). Sheesh not that again! Haha i ahve a phobia of it. Karthi and i represented the sec 4s in st. hilda's, along the sec 3s, 4s and 5s, and somehow, i have no idea how, i achieved the first position, so off i went to participate in PESA, competiting with students from other schools. OF COURSE i was kicked out lar, i got though the first round, but i died in the second. Haha, and now this thing is back to haunt me. It seems i am automatically in the PESA ALUMNI... like ummm... well uhh... HAHA NAH, i will not go back!

okay back to normal stuff... THANK YOU JIA ZHEN! awww the nice girl helped me out with my blog! Can you see the cool changed? Can ya can ya? HAHA obviously i didn't do that all my myself, i had so much help, she might as well have done the whole thing for me. She's a cool chick! Half the time i did not understand what was going on, but she was patient, and NOW i'm so proud of my blog! WOOO haha thank you! I owe her one tongue jelly ice cream now, though why on earth she likes it i don't know. Haha, but it's funny when she FLICKS it... yuck, like a lizard...

oh oh and cherie's sweet! i read her blog, and i was like, "if only i can reach into the screen to give her a hug". Hey cherie, if you're reading this, you're worth more than you think, and you're so cool! People are just mean sometimes, pray and He will direct your path! Louie is confident of THAT! =)

it's carol's birthday today!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIRL! =)

Whew, long long week. I'm back from a school chalet, with my new found wonderful friends! =) Long experience, long story...

15th August 2006
I met jia zhen at dover, and oops i was late, again! This time, it was raining, so my back gate was spoilt; therefore, i had to take the long way around my place. Sorry girl, she said her shoulder was beginning to feel like jelly. OOPS. Met cui wen o the train and haha, she was funny... she's in ACJC now... I always thought she would be in SAJC, and HEY she's moving to the west too! =) Got kaki already... haha

Hooked up with jane, clemmence and timothy at aranda country club! Haha gosh i miss them now, even as i'm typing this. We went up to the room, rented a mahjong table, then played heart attack. Haha silly timothy, "HEART ATTTT TACKKK!" His actions were funny lar, all jz's fault. HAHA it's funnier if you were there... His gestures and stuff...

Oh soon the mahjong table arrived, and so did elizabeth, stephanie, akira, eileen and christine! We thougth them the art of mah jong, the "PING PONG KING KONG JIACT CHI HE" whatever those words are... Yeah haha fun! Boy eileen knows every card game and mah jong lar, she's SCARY. We started muching on bread and garlic spread too, cause we were hungry. Krystel and Ie ting (the BBQ people) were late, and we were dying of hunger haha. It was clemence bread lar, haha and he had gone down to get the fire ready and stuff, so he was uber shocked when he saw his precious bread 3/4 gone. Haha oops. Jane had disappeared earlier on, and when she came back, i was so happy and ran to the door to meet her. Who appeared wasn't my precious jane, but her friend Han. Haha, he gave me a fright. For one moment there, i thought he had kidnapped jane or something and was out to get us too. -.-

Right, on to the bbq... ya da ya da, ate a lot haha jz and christine was literally attatched to the bag of marshmellows lar.. haha Both of them were sticking on marshmellow after marshmellow haha so cute! Clemmy was funny, he bbqed for all of us, but he didn't eat. Poor guy had a headache and went to bed early anyway. Ah yes, finally raymond, audrey, gracelynn, grace's sister and erm aozhi (?) arrived. Audrey's the butter girl, she buttered the corn, VERY NICE =) Eileen adn i helped to wrap the potato thing... haha. Oh and there was this relaly sweetie pie cat roaming around. It was rubbing itself all over me and everyone! But psst, later it turned against me and scratched me. Stupid cat. =(

Wow today was a very impromptu day... haha

I woke up early in the morning for music lesson, ARGH! I was falling asleep! Disgusting... Haha, i really dislike piano lessons. AHHHHHHH 10 more days to my piano exam AND my final year grades!

Anyway, poor cherie is sick today! Why is everyone falling ill? Dear Lord, i pray that whoever is not feeling well, grant them strength to get better, and please grant everyone else a good immune system! Thank you Lord, in Jesus' name i pray, AMEN. Was that a funny prayer? Oh well =) Yeah, so that's why she couldn't make it for the movie today! It was so messy, cause jonathan didn't confirm if he was going or not, so kenneth thought that maybe only 3 people, (jia zhen, him and me) would be boring, so everyone was waiting for jon's decision. ARGH! We waited so ultra long! Haha we finally did go though.

Oops, sorry guys, i was SOOOOOOO late! We were supposed to meet at sommerset station at 2.30pm, but my piano teacher called and was so long winded. When i finally got up the bus, it crashed into a traffic light and we had to go up the next bus. Unfortunately, that bus was too crowded so.... etc. I reached there around 3.05pm? The show was 3.10pm! HAHA i was rushing, and i still lsot my way from sommerset to cineleisure. -.-

We watched "Click"! It's about this remote control which controls the entire universe. Interesting... Haha, but the theatre was cold, and the chair so big! Thus, i put my legs up on the chair, and everyone commented i looked like a ball. Okay ummm yeah... uhhh... I should have followed jon's example and wore two shirts or something. Hee it was a really touching movie, with a good moral ending. "Family comes before work!" I sniffed a little at the sad parts, all right, so i cried... a LITTLE...

After the movie, we visited jia zhen's mum's shop! Haha her mum looks so cute! =) Yeah, we window shopped too! We looked at CDs, erm, toy pianos, toy EEYORES, CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW'S figurines, caps, and it was at this point of time when our dear jonathan disappeared. without saying goodbye. without warning. without... ANYTHING. I really wanted to kick him, haha but i think poor kenneth was more bleah bleah bleah. Haha jon pang sehed poor ken!

Oh! We had dinner at KFC! Ate this zinger meal thing, and one point to add, i am not going to eat the cheesy fries thing anytime soon! It's too... chessy. Yup, that's about it! Wait! Ken also told us that we could apply for a student EZ link card if we show them our SIM card. Is that allowed? I hope so, cuase i so DO NOT want to pay the adult fee anymore!! *wails*

=) I'm heading off for a chalet with SIM mates tomorrow!

OH OH OH! I'm so excited and proud of my Jolene!! She scored 21/25 for her Lit! an A1! Okay, so she wasn't the highest in the level, but she was in her class! Whoopee! Our aim? To get her to be the highest in LEVEL! Wheeee she can do it, i know she can! =)

WOW i was so freaking fed up earlier on! Hand me a gun, or two, and i would have blasted people's brains out with no hestitation!

Here's the thing...

Our newsletter was due, and i had nothing. All our stuff was with one member only, and he was goodness knows where. The other was uhh well, somewhere...

I was panicking, cause our editor was a little mad, so i had to interview 2 more people to make up for the "shortages". Two sounds easy right, but it wasn't, it treuly wasn't. Not many people were online, and those who were, were either busy playing games (man i detest the person who invented computer games, i'll take that back later), or were not comfortable with the idea of us putting their pictures up on the newsletter. It was too late to call anyone, so i smsed them instead, asking if i could call them up for a short interview. No one replied, and i was getting desperate. The more desperate i got, the more panicky i become, the mose frustrated i got, the more sick i became, the more irritated i got, the more pissed i got.........

And then i got to thinking... Isn't the newsletter supposed to be fun? Yet, why am i here getting all wound up? And somehow, it didn't seem fair. I am sick, but i am running around doing all these rubbish... I am also possibly, the slowest typer, wth the slowest computer, the one with the lousiest technological resources, and i have to go and attatch all the stupid pictures into an email which took ages, and bear with the fact that my computer may hang any moment because of all the windows. -.-

Am i naggy, or niao? I was really annoyed, annoyed at myself too i guess, because i didn't keep a copy of what the interviewees said. I had passed everything along to a member you see. It didn't help that i was getting a headache and i kept vomitting. It was slowing me down. Angel kept me going, thanks darling. You're my sweet angel. =) She was encouraging me, and that helped me to keep my cool.

I do have to give credit to a few people though. Jielong for one, is my saviour. He's my man! At the last moment, he answered my sms and was super cooperative. He happily sent me two pictures, and his answers made me laugh. I'm in your debt, fella! =)

Loisa: Why kind of attire do you deem inappropriate in SIM?
Jielong: Guys wearing thongs... because uhhh... it's just, WRONG!!

Haha oh man, he's cute. Anyway, that calmed me down a little.

Later, cherie was such a dear. She managed to interview another person! I could hug her forever! =)

Eileen tried to help me out, but she was free only later, which was too late in the night but nevermind. I owe her one too!

Elizabeth tried to help too, but she was a little uncertain about the picture part, so well, i put in Jielong instead. Thanks though =)

Clemence was sweet. Everytime he goes "buggy!" i laugh... He made me all excited about the chalet again. Yay! "If you're happy and you know it, CLEM your hands" -clem clem. HAHA! oops, sorry, inside joke...

Yeah, well, after all that typing, i'm a happy kid once again! Woohoo! Just had to let all that out. I never believed in going to bed with an angry heart or mind.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

awwwwwww man! lousy day! my birthdays are never good haha! 2004 birthday was spent in nat camp, and my coco (rabbit) died! sniff! all right, so last year was interesting, the girls sprayed whip cream all voer me, and up til now, that white national day tee still smells of it!

This year, i have my math finals. AND i am sick... crap it... This is how the bug got around...

jon passed it to ken. ken passed it to me. ken recovered. i passed it back to ken.

Now the plan is, to try and pass the bug to jia zhen, who has like super immunity!! oh well

Anyway, after math, we had lunch at megabytes! Haha jz was funny, she ordered some pineapple pizza thing, and was like "how do you go about collecting the pizza?" Lunch was good though, only problem was that i was ultra tempted by jonathan's drink, WITH WHIPPED CREAM! OOOOOOO! =) haha! Cherie brought her camera along today too, so we were taking pictures of all the interviewees for the UBSIM newsletter! Uhhh, we went a little crazy after lunch. We played with the fishes at the pond! Haha! Fishy fishy fish! I was told that fish have no teeth, so they can't bite you. But, if they do not have teeth, how do they eat? Hmmm.. *ponders*

Later, we all went up to the fourth floor to do our reviews for the newsletter. Ahem we totally went OOP (out of point)!! From listening to jon's music, we switched to taking videos of MY COMEDY ACT (thanks arh guys), to exchanging jackets and acting as bikers. *cough cough* "We will be back!!" - KoolCats! I really want to stab this jon and ken. MY REPUTATION, will be gone forever! You see, ken taped this video of my getting a fright when jon played Franz Ferdinand's "do you want to" song really loud. He blasted it into the headphones which were resting on my poor ears lar! I can really muder them with no guilty conscience.

Okay back! Today is now friday, sorry, i was too hungry and tired yesterday to continue. Anyway, where was i?

Ah yes, violence and murder. All right, after that HILARIOUS, NOT, moment, and cherie left for home, we travelled through time, back to our childhood days. Okay, so it was only jz and me, but WAIT, ken went a little mad too! Gosh, the games we played, HAHA! There were "chopsticks" (i'm SO bad at it. I lost to jz and ken), "ji-go-pa", uhhh, yeah, and.... PEPSI COLA 1-2-3!!!! HAHA! We laughed so much we had to go off to the loo, i nearly peed in my pants. We were jumping all voer the place, into the walls and glass doors. Everytime someone walked past, which was very often since we were near the toilet, we would pretend to pose there, or count the squares to remember our positions. KIDDISH us, but hey, we lost countless calaries okay... Great exercise! Gotta do that at the chalet if we have nothing to do. Oh btw, we have a chalet next week, to celebrate uhhh, end of exams? NAH, just to have FUN! FUN, it'll be FUN, i think. Haha i was mental last night, my mind started thinking about bad bad stuff, but NAH, it'll all going to be fun! I'm going to stay over with jz, and clemmence is gonna take care of us! He's going to bbq food for us too! Wooo FOOD =)

OH ah yes, the vending machine game, initiated by our one and only, kenneth, the EEYORE! Boy is he adorable. I'm like, in love with eeyore, he's so cute lar! Well anyway, he was bored, so he started playing with his 1986, 50 cents, coin. Imagine, we were -3 years when that was made! He popped it into the food machine, then ejected it. Out came a1995, then 1999, 2005, and back to 1986 coin again. We did the same thing with the drinks machine.

Ken taught us a new game with a plastic bag too! All right, so it's an old game, but he started it! Haha, he blew it up for us, and we popped it! Well, we TRIED to pop it... Who burst it in the end? I can't remember... Was it me? Whatever it is, it was fun! Heh

Okay hunger pangs! We couldn't take it anymore, we had to eat. That was when archana joined us for dinner. She was with geri and llyod, who went for dragonboat practice. Poor jz wanted to eat anywhere else other than SIM, but we STILL landed up in the SIM canteen. Sigh... Thus, she decided to have an ice-cream instead, then go home for dinner. I had dumpling soup! =) Again, we ended up chatting, AND jonahan HAD to share the tricks we learnt during during our music group practices. Archana was ready to tear her hair out, trying to guess what the patterns were. It was seriously ridiculous lar, haha but jz was fascinated with the straw game. HAHA! And the meh meh one too? "How many meh mehs jumped over the wall?" She actually thought the pattern was a ratio of one sheep to two meh mehs... -.- HAHA!

Well, that was it i guess. We headed for home after that. I walked towards ngee ann poly, and jon joined me. That lazy fella, he should be walking home everyday! Like he said, he can then save a dollar or so!

I'M BACK PEOPLE!!!

Sorry, i've been MIA (missing in action) these past few days... Sigh, yep, it's the finals! Man, music was... sigh... I was pretty confident, but i made a mistake which i could strangle myself for.

Diminished 8ve, but i wrote diminished 8th... Sigh... REALLY careless mistake. To think i finished the silly paper at 10.30, and i checked it over AND over again til nearly 12pm!! ARGH, waste of my time. Oh well

Economics today was BLEAH. JZ and i went nuts yesterday, trying to grasp ALL concepts at the last minute. We thought we nailed everything, but today's paper was crap! IT WAS TOUGH! I did the first 5 questions, and i went "OH dear dear Lord, save me. I studied, i truly did!" Nevermind, it is over, and i DO NOT want to think about it again.

ps: kenneth, there isn't any superman, superwoman or abnormal profits in the textbook!! arghhh! gah haha

Well, we were pretty dead looking after the exam, but we made it through lunch. UMMMMMMM the tom yam soup is like WOW WHEE!!!! =) Haha learnt that mussels are tasty, but they look gross. I still prefer clams thank you very much.

Sigh back to the student lounge we went after lunch, to study MATH. That place is going to be our second home soon. However, we migrated to the study room later, i forgot the reason why. ARGH!! Everyone's so good with math! I was practically melting under all the questions. Ken was dishing out questions like no one's business, and JZ, within seconds, was like "what's the answer, what's the answer?" I was screaming in my head, haha, i hadn't even digested the question, and there she was checking her stuff already! GOSH, talk about pressure! HAHA!

Yup, that is about it. I came home stuffed my face with dinner, and then set myself to do the newsletter stuff. Did an interview with jane, and boy is she cool! Her answers are like, va va vroom! You'll see, when the newsletter comes out that is. Gee, now i'm trying to con a photo out from jon. Sigh, too bad a photo is required from each interviewee. It's a littel inconvenient, and now poor cherie had to bring her camera on thurs just to take pictures! Haha we'll probably play with the camera though, take candid shots or something...

I'm getting tired, i can't type anymore. Funny, i seem to get tired very easily these few days. AND jon passed the flu bug to ken and me!! ARGH! MY nose, is leaking, like a pipe!! *whines* Right, i shall just wait for my photos to come in...

I'll make it as short and sweet as possible.

Went for music consultation. Met kenneth and kai there. Charles came later too. It wasn't particularly helpful, becuase it turns out that EVERYTHING is important in the music exam. -.- We were hoping for tips or hints, but uhh... Bumped into stephanie on the way out. Glenda had CHOCOLATE CAKE FOR THEM!! ARGH! Nvevermind, gaylene gives us pizza right? Haha food addict...

Met up with jia zhen for study group. Kenneth joined us, but poor cherie couldn't make it. She had a tummy ache! Yuck, those are painful stuff. You get better soon all right? It's better to rest at home anyway, cause all that travelling from yishun to SIM, and back again, would make anyone go nuts!

Had lunch with jz, ken, charles and akimi! We took a bus down to King Albert Park and ate macdonalds. Haha jz and i had a childhood recollection. THE PLAYGROUND IN KING ALBERT PARK'S MACDONALDS!!! Haha! OH OH, the pirates of the caribbean advertisement was on, and jz and i were SO hooked! Haha, eh we still were not as bad as ken. His eyes were GLUED to the TV since he sat down with his lunch! It was after lunch when jonathan decided to join us to study too.

Back in the student lounge, we studied, REALLY well! Amazing huh... See jz? We did it! I am truly satisfied with what was accomplished today. Music yes, math yes, ECONOMICS WOOHOO! YES to that too! =) Later, we saw jostian, gracelynn and whoever else there were, studying in the student lounge too. Wow, everyone sure is in a studying mood. Scary... but good!

Decided to have dinner, as it was already 8pm. We went crazy over pirates of the caribbean again, and then jz headed home as she had "home cooked food". YUM! Jon, ken and i ate at clementi. I didn't feel very hungry then, cause i guessed i waited too long for dinner, until i wasn't hungry anymore. I was more tired than anything. It must have been due to economics! Haha!

Sat on the same bus as ken back home, was too tired to even open my eyes, so he was sweet enough to look out for my stop for me. Thank you! =)

Reached home, started blabbering nonsense to my mum, and she said i looked grumpy and tired. Sigh, age is catching up with me. I have humongous eyebags, and yes guys, i know i've been looking like an "auntie" for the past two days, well, i feel like one now. Thus, to wake myself up a little, i took a cold bath and drank a nice, big cup of tea. I was doing a bit of math earlier on. And here i am!
Right now, the only thing that is on my mind is my bed. Soooo off i go! Good night everyone!

Well, today was interesting. Not exactly fruitful. but interesting. Studied with friends in SIM.

I WAS THE EARLIEST AND WAS WAITING FOR EVERYONE. ahem ahem =)

Yeah, we studied, and then not quite sure what happened, studying turned into talking, and talking, and taking pictures, and talking... YEAH oops...

So people, we have so GOT to study BETTER and be more disciplined tomorrow. Yes, i have faith in ourselves. Tomorrow will be a better day. More boring, and it will be worth it. YES =)

All righty, so tomorrow, or today rather, i will be going to school to study... STUDY... Well guys, that is what we shall, and will do. The finals are round the corner, round the week, AHHHHHHHHHHH, time to hit the books! Hit them REAL hard.

OHHH MY GOODNESS!!

My dog ACTUALLY passed her training test! WOW i can be a dog trainer already! NOT! Haha, it is a miracle really. She had 160/200 for her test. Umm of course, she had the lowest among all those who passed, but hey, she PASSED! There were a few who failed, because their dogs ran away when they were unleashed. Thank goodness Pebbles had the sense to stare at the line of ants which were marching across the carpark, so she didn't move an inch. Wonderful! Haha now i no longer have to bring her out for trainings on mondays! WHEW!

We had math today... JZ was feeling insane so she started warping my beautiful face... Warp until i looked seriously disfigured, but hey! We got a kick out of it! HAHA i love her phone! HAHA when i first saw her own warped face, i was horrified. My first thought was that she fell down and hurt her face or something. It looked bloated and stretched! Something like that... Except it'll be her face of course, not mine...

Terrifying isn't it? Haha

After math, we had Gaylene's lunch! Awwww we took pictures! =) YAY haha interesting bill though... The tab came up to S$6,990. Yeah do not faint, it is true. My eyeballs popped out so far out of my head that they hurt so much now. Sigh, ah well, all for gaylene! =)
